really, really bad management

She coulda been a much bigger star. Seems management just didn't know how to grow her exposure & elevate her projects. Shoulda done small parts in smallish films to build her acting cred then blown up. I'unno, som'in'!

They tried that. She has a theater background so she did small roles in Men in Black and TV shows, but pop music has always been her priority. She's a definitely talented singer and dancer, but talent doesn't make you famous. The sex pot thing with the Pussycat Dolls gave her a gimmick and exposure back then, but she has no gimmick now. There's also no market for her because she's not black or white so it's difficult to find an audience for her.

What went wrong? Hindsight being 20/20, i wonded what she could've done differently to be successful and remembered. She seemed pretty close to cracking into the a-list of music celebs.

Her material was really weak and the timing was off when she launched...they should have waited a few more years but I guess she was worried about getting old.
