she isn't the vittoria i had in mind...

i was rooting for someone much younger and hotter... cause that's the way dan brown described her... but oh well they changed a lot in the film adaptation anyways so there's no point in having to insist that she's not the real vittoria...

I thought Ayelet did a much better job than I originally thought. While she may not be "hot" like Megan Fox or Angelina Jolie, she has, in my eyes, a classical beauty similar to Sophia Loren or Julie Christie.

Ayelet brought credibility to the character something the book was lacking.

I agree, she did a great job. I think she played a more professional and mature Vittoria than in the book.
I'm also greateful she was dressed in proper clothes than looking like a hot chick. And I also liked that they kept her attraction to Langdon out of the movie.

I think in casting Vittoria they reacted to criticism of the choice of Audrey Tatou as Sophie Neveu in The Da Vinci Code. Tatou was widely considered a bit green for the part.

She's so YUMMY! I was staring at her alot while watching Angels and Demons! :P

I realize I must have been out of the loop in a big way, but I could have sworn that I read that Maggie Gyllenhall was going to play Vittoria. I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't give an opinion but I was certainly shocked to see a pic of Vittoria. Trying to explain the character from the book to my husband, I realized all over again what a complex casting decision she would be. I look forward to seeing it.

She's more beautiful, and a better actress than Angelina and Megan combined, IMO.
