He's the right age they're looking for, he does have the good looks (and could easily put on muscle) He's got acting experience, but is still relatively unknown, plus he's worked with Zach Snyder before

Has his name been thrown into the Superman casting rumours yet, because to me he seems like a sloid choice

He's too interesting. Sorry but Superman is the most boring of the superheros. Besides, I'd rather see Kevin take roles that showcase his talent.
