Same. It was driving me crazy all throughout Source Code. I couldn't tell if he was doing it on purpose, or if that was just how he talked. His enunciation and emphasis on certain syllables is just...strange.

I haven't seen Source Code, but I love his voice. He has a James Earl Jones quallity, a sense of gravity that most Hollywood pretty boys don't have.

Honestly I thought it was a breath of fresh air. Atypical forms of speech are sorely missing in Hollywood these days, it's gotten to the point where everyone now talks in much the same way. Foreign accents refreshes the staleness every now and then of course, but even now they're all starting to sound so stereotypically alike, they've become nothing more than tokens.

Annoying. This guy, as much restraint and simplicity as he might display, is one big poser. Not talking about acting skills. Just how he acts as a person.
Very annoying, very forced and calculated, very unnatural.

Somebody actually sees a connection between him and James Earl Jones on this very thread lol...

"Harry !!...your hands are freezing !"

I think it depends on the character he's playing. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Like in Boardwalk empire. It make me hate the character more. In Westworld it makes me appreciate the detail of his character which turns out to be a robot.

The characters he plays has no reflection on who he is as a person but I get what you're saying. All said, his body of work is impressive and overshadows the small annoyance in the rhythm and tone of his speech.

He is a unique and unequaled actor.
