Why ain't he famous...?

Why isn't he more famous?

He might not be the best actor in the world but in the past year, he's had some major movies. Avatar, Terminator, titans. Yet I still think of him as B-list and he's not a household name. My sister calls him "The guy from Avatar". Why dont more people know him?

I have a theory. The movies he's in are too big for him and dont rely on his performance so it's kind of like he's being overlooked for the whole movie, which is good I guess.

Maybe he likes to fly under the radar. Oh well. He has some cool stuff in the past year. Good for him.

He is talentless and has the charisma of a sponge, this is the only reason why he is not more famous.
People just don´t buy him.

agree with rajak. he's just not very good. he's been in some of the biggest (including THE biggest) movies of the last few years. he must have the highest combined box office total of any actor in Hollywood recently, so he can't complain of not getting attention or enough of the spotlight. he's simply not very memorable or charismatic. he's not awful either.

of course Hollywood has alot of average actors who ARE household names so I still can't quite explain why he's not.

The better question is "Why is he as famous as he is when he possesses no discernable talent or charisma?"

Maybe he comes to life on the casting couch?

at least this imdb poster is a hero, unlike sam who cant even play that role with millions in special effects, costumes and makeup
