Superb in The Killing

One of my favourite ‘bad girl performances ever in Stanley Kubrick’s The Killing, as the scheming wife of useless heist collaborator Elisha Cook Jr.

Windsor, I believe, acted mostly in B-movies and to my memory the only other film I have seen her in is Narrow Margin, in which she is also very good.

and the narrow margin 1952

reply

Yes, she was very good in that too.

MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT...

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...

It was heartbreaking what happened to her character in that film.

reply

i saw it a few weeks ago. i love the film noir genre.

reply

I do too. The Narrow Margin is a very good one, and Windsor is just great in noir, on the evidence of these two movies.

reply

Better than the 1990 remake they did.

reply

Indeed… I saw that when it came out, long before I saw the original noir, and found it to be pretty bad, with only Gene Hackman’s boundless professionalism as a saving grace.

reply

Woo woo!

Tall and smokin' hot in The Killing.
