Is he going through financial difficulty ?

All his recent films seem like low quality projects: 'Stretch', 'Let's Kill Ward's Wife', etc. So, i'am wondering is he desperate for cash and taking whatever is going ? Or is this now his level of film.

I profoundly doubt that :)

Don't explain with malice what you can explain with stupidity

Maybe it's just what he wants to do? Nothing wrong with it.

What are you doing for cash these days?

Its actually the complete opposite.. He has good enough financial stability he can pick each studio/role/director/actors actresses he wants to be part of & work with.. A lot of times low budget movies have way more flexibility with roles.. People don't know this but huge budget studio movies are controlled entirely by the studio, the studio execs control every aspect of a movie.. Its the reason such a large amount of movies have issues, just look at the Sony leaked emails, the high up studio execs talk about the actors and actresses like garbage, put them down talk trash behind there backs.. So if you think a big budget movie is being made and the studio has a focus group say that a certain actors performance is bad, even though the director and producers love what this certain actor did.. I guarantee you this actor will hear about it and have to re shoot a bunch of scenes.. A focus group is actually not that bad because at least its actual movie fans, the worst is when just a single studio head exec doesn't like a performance they themselves can make any kind of changes they want..

Another example ((sorry im going off I know lol but its a joke how some big studios are)) Anyway lets say a actor signs up to do a movie and he likes the story, he likes his role, likes the directors and producers.. He shoots the movie and feels great about it.. Now the studio is trying to sell this movie to a certain age group because that's who they think will get them the most return on there investment.. And because of this they think some scenes are to controversial and are forcing the director to take out some key scenes or real character development scenes that the movie needs to be good.. So when the movie finally comes out it gets horrible reviews, and now this actor is just known to be in this crappy ass movie.. If that was me I sure as hell would not be to happy at how the final product came out, especially knowing that if the studio didn't meddle with it it would of came out much better..

Now on the opposite side, its their money and they have the right to do what they want.. Kinda sucks but that's how the business is.. And that's the thing, to the studios its a business all they care about is the $$$$$$$$ return on the investment and the directors/actors actresses/ writers its the entertainment and art of making a good movie..
