See "Paper Planes" at the 2015 Newport Beach Film Festival

Following the death of his mother, 11-year-old Dylan's father is overcome by grief and has largely lost all connection with his son. Left to look after himself, Dylan discovers the art of folding paper planes through the encouragement of his friend, a Japanese Junior Champion, who also informs Dylan of the World Paper Plane Championships in Tokyo. Motivated by his friendship, he is able to earn himself a place at the competition and, as he gears up to travel to the contest, must learn to cope with his father's emotional obstacles.
