No Kids After 7 Years?

Just noticed that he has been married for nearly 7 years and doesn't have any kids.

That kind of puts him in the minority as the large majority of couples have kids by that point of being together.

Is he planning not to have them?

Tom has a small daughter. Her birth was not public. I know someone who worked on the Smallville set and he said that Tom was super happy that day because his wife and daughter were visiting the set.

Tom doesn't have a daughter. I can't believe I'm even responding to this.

At the time all the previous posts were done, he didn't. He now has two children with his second wife.

LMAO @ "um...sure"

But I do agree it is strange he doesnt have any kids yet, the guy is gorgeous and he should make at least a dozen superhuman hot babies!

maybe he want's to have kids after Smallville, so he can be with them, you know. and not have to be shooting 14 hour days for like nine months in a row.

I mean, personally I would find that very understandable, that he want to wait with kids untill he can give them his undevided attention. can you immagen having a baby and missing out of the first months because you have to shoot :S.

Omg...can we not fathom the possibility that maybe he and his wife have no intention of children? God forbid somebody in this country does not follow the married with children rule...

reply

I agree not everybody has to follow the 'married with children rule'.

It may mean they don't plan to have kids, or it could mean they may not end up staying together - sometimes couples who don't have kids after that period of time end up splitting (like Kerr Smith and his wife just did).

In an interview a few years ago,(can't remember if it was an article interview or a tv interview?), that Tom said he's too busy to have kids and he would not have any time to spend with them. So it sounded to me that kids would be a future thing when he has more family time.

Now this was a few years ago, during "Smallville", so whether or not things have changed, who knows? We never see Tom in interviews anymore which I miss, but I do understand and respect his desire for privacy.
