One of THE best actors out there.

And no I'm not being glib. From The Matrix to V For Vendetta to The Wolfman, each of his performances show his command and love for the written language. Despite the genre movies he makes, his classical charisma adds so much gravitas to each movie. His grasp of irony and sarcastic wit comes from a pre-Internet era, without the aid of smiley faces, where one requires perception and astuteness to appreciate.

In V for Vendetta, he shows how the written word, together with an artistry in expressive body language, transcended the need for facial communication. A Maestro indeed.

Heard Hugo's great in everything, but I just wish that they'd show some of his pictures sometime because I haven't seen him in anything except photographs.

They also should post one of his better profile photographs on Hugo's Filmography page because that beard just adds way too much age, and he looks a lot neater without it.

I thought V for Vendetta one of his best movies. Can't have been easy acting in a mask.

Agree took me so many years o appreciate him.
After reading so many books, after watching so many movies, seeing him in action is still something magical.
One of the best actors ever to be in visit the screen, watching his roles in any movie, especially v for vendetta nowadays really shows you what an actor can do.
Just, amazing.

I have major crush on him in V for Vendetta. Considering you can't see his face , his manner and voice...ugh...melts me every time. A real man ;)*
