His acting ability...

Personally, I think that Paul Wesley is a big talent. I'm British, so I've only seen him on the stuff we get imported from the US - i.e. Smallville and The Vampire Diaries. He's especially good on the latter Programme, particularly as that's the only one he's been on for a long period of time.
During series two, his performance in the episode in which Katherine compelled Jenna to stab herself after finding out that Stefan and Elena fabricated their split was stellar. The scene in the same episode where they genuinely broke up was heartbreaking, and both Paul and Nina pulled it off brilliantly. And as for his Vampire Diary video diary appearances - quality!

So yes, generally Paul is a brilliant actor who defiantly deserves more credit than he gets.

he defineatly is, dare I say it: he's the best actor on TVD next to Daniel Gillies and Joseph Morgan

Absolutely. He's been coming into his own on it in the past few series. My half-sister was in Sixth-Form College (I'm not sure what equivalent would be in the US) with Joseph Morgan. Ian Somerhalder's quite good as well.
They're all of a high standard on The Vampire Diaries, but I agree that Daniel Gilles, Joseph Morgan and Paul Wesley are particularly excellent.

No. No. Now Daniel Gillies and Joseph Morgan are the best actors on THE ORIGINALS. Paul excels the most (along with Nina Dobrev) on The Vampire Diaries.

I couldnt agree more. Paul is a brilliant actor and by far deserves more credit for his outstanding abilities than he gets. It has been such a joy to watch him on Vampire Diaries. Im very much looking forward to him crossing over to the movie screens soon.

He certainly does. I actually live in the US now (Chicago) and I am ahead of everybody who watches TVD on ITV2 back in Britain. The new series is brilliant! It's become my Thursday evening routine. 7pm on WGN. Stefan when Valerie told him that Julian killed his unborn child the week before last was heartbreaking. :-/

I agree, one of the best in VD. He acts with more subtlety than many of the others on VD and it sets him apart in my opinion. I hope he gets a good break after VD ends.
