I think Alun feels that his snotty daughter disownes him but she uses the lie of:
"Oh, he's very private!"

Actually, he disowned her. He walked out on her pregnant mother and I don't think he was involved in her upbringing at all.

It is lucky for Amelia Warner that she looks more liker her mother Annette Ekblom than her father Alun Lewis (though the shape of her head is seemingly from her father). That is all I have to say.

I'm not sure what Alun looked like in his younger days but his brother, Hywel Bennett, was very handsome as a young man. And yes, the facial shape between Amelia, her father and uncle is noticeable. I'd say that Amelia also has her father's nose. Her coloring comes from her mother, and I've seen a photo of her mother, Annette Ekblom, when she was younger and you can see the resemblance.
