Cheyenne, Cheyenne, where will you be campin' tonight?
Lonely man, Cheyenne, will your heart stay free and light?
Dream, Cheyenne, of a girl you may never love
Move along, Cheyenne, like the restless cloud up above.

The wind that blows, that comes and goes, has been your only home.
But will the wild wind one day cease and you'll no longer roam?

Move along, Cheyenne; next pasture's always so green.
Driftin' on, Cheyenne, don't forget the things you have seen,
And when you settle down, where will it be? Cheyenne. Cheyenne!

The Bodie.

He was one of the first to fight over TV money with Warner Bros.

Rest in Peace Big Guy

Only the "easy lopin', cattle ropin' Sugarfoot" remains.

LOL!! I had to look that one up tbh!
Was that by any chance from one of his movies or just a nod to his tough gentle giant demeanor?

reply

You misunderstand, Yonk. "Cheyenne" was 1 of 4 (related) Westerns that Warner Bros. created for ABC in the late '50-s...Maverick, Bronco Lane, and Sugarfoot were the other 3.

Ty Hardin did Bronco.
Will Hutchins did Sugarfoot
& James Garner did Maverick.

Only Hutchins is still alive. Remember him? He did a [Dirty Harry],,,had a nice bit in it (Magnum Force).
