I may not understand...

But I can at least be accepting. As long as a person's lifestyle doesn't hurt anybody, then I honestly don't see the harm in it.

What we may find confusing today, may be common-place in the future. Having the intelligence to embrace new ideas with understanding is the true test of humanity.

Also, am I the only one who actually liked Speed Racer?

Not sure I have the Ben Franklin quote exactly right, but: "If it neither breaks my bones nor picks my pockets, it doesn't concern me."

Though that's perhaps a poor representation of my feelings: I'm actually quite ecstatic about this! Not nearly enough people come out as trans, and to have someone as prestigious as one of the Wachowskis do it really means a lot for the trans community. I have a lot of gay role models I can look up to, but a lot of my trans friends don't have many famous people they can look up to as being out & proud & trans.

Lord help me....

You can't conceive of how something that might not immediately physically harm you (or take your money... immediately) may still be a bad thing? This blows my mind. But, I'll settle my mind by concluding that you're not being entirely sincere.

Ah yes, the almighty god of the will - where no value stands higher than the simple ability to chose whatever we wish. Where the content of that choice should never prevent one from choosing, choosing, choosing.

Heart to heart moment: you should probably ditch the gay and trans role models for someone who understands human nature a pinch better.... and who acts accordingly. Chances are it will benefit you.

It was Thomas Jefferson: "But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."

You should have your own reality show with your amazing ability to determine how well an unknown person understands human nature or acts "accordingly" (whatever that means)!

You need to be punched in the face.

You need to be punched in the face.

Seconded, and perhaps a bit of getting out and actually seeing and experiencing the world.

Entire books have been written about what you don't seem know about human nature.

There really is no end to pig-headed closed-mindedness, is there?

I still fail to see how someone being gay or trans affects you in any way. Some of the greatest role models I have ever had were gay and trans people.

I disagree with others who suggested you should be punched in the face. You shouldn't. You should instead have to witness the gradual social acceptance of gay and trans people, which, to someone as clearly homophobic as you are, should be torture enough.
