he's already there, after Prisoners and esp Incendies, which is a ground breaking film that he got an Academy award nom for best foreign film... he's fast track, he's already got his shot... even if Blade Runner 2 fails, which it won't with Ridley Scott producing and having final cut authority, he will get offers for the rest of his career slam dunk

It's not so complicated. Quebec French (Mr. Villeneuve's mother tongue) is my first language as well and I guess the closest way to pronounce his name without sounding like you don't know what you're talking about is...
DA-KNEE (first name) VILLE-NERVE (surname, with the "NERVE" part pronounced with a neutral-ish English accent, with the R barely pronounced.)
