Oh god, no! Joseph Gordon Levitt would make a terrible Paul.
He's too old, for starters. Paul Atreides is, like, 15 at the start of the story. And as an older Paul, he'd still be terrible. He's too short and doesn't have a commanding screen presence.
He had so much potential. What a shame he wants to relegate himself to a reboot director.
shareMaking a PROPER Dune film wouldn't necessarily be a reboot, since it hasn't been done PROPERLY before. Plus, Blade Runner 2049 isn't a reboot, it's a direct sequel.
On top of all that, he's proven to be an original storyteller time and time again. To me, that's what's exciting about the prospect of him bringing Dune to the screen
I agree. Very talented guy. Saying that, I'd love him for Bond 25. I know that's considered a bit mainstream/sellout too.
