There is no way you can be serious... A genius? What are you talking about? His films are unoriginal, and cliched. His style as a director isn't like overtly bad or anything, but calling him a genius is absolutely insane. Watch some real films, from real geniuses and look back at what you said.

I would say that based on The Ring and Pirates 1, he deserves A LOT of recognition. Double for being entirely different genres.
