Gore, I love your work, but please please please don't fall into the same trap that Tim Burton did of only using Johnny Depp!! >___<
Since the 'Pirates' films are part of a franchise I can't use his use of Depp against him but Rango and Lone Ranger is where I draw the line. Sure Scorsese, Burton & co all have their favorites but there is a time when the old formula just becomes tired.
*On a separate note, Lone Ranger production has been scrapped.

I don't understand this. I LOVE PotC1 and Rango. I really enjoy PotC2. and I like PotC 3. I don't understand what the problem is with Verbinski and Depp working together again when they do better work together than they do apart.
Crooked Spoons mentioned that Pirates is a franchise and thats right. You can only really count that as one thing. Nobody considers Harrison Ford one of Steven Spielberg's guys but they made four films together.
And now everybody says that Verbinski and Depp are teaming up too much and its going to become tired. I don't see that. I think Rango is one of the best films of the year.
Nobody cares if other people team up a lot like Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe, or Paul Thomas Anderson and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, or David Fincher and Brad Pitt, or Peter Jackson and Andy Serkis, or Alfred Hitchcock and Jimmy Stewart.
Heck, Martin Scorsese and Robert DeNiro did eight films together. EIGHT!
Until you are willing to grade them the same way, you should let Gore and Depp work together without complaint.
