Whatever you say about Gore Verbinski...

he made Rango, which is f-ing genius in my book. And he co-wrote the story for it. It's one of the most original, and creative animated movies I've ever seen. It completely deserved the Academy Award it got for Best Animated Film. And the first Pirates of the Caribbean was excellent(the 2nd Pirates wasn't bad either). Ok, so he's had some hits, and some misses. It's extremely rare for a director or artist to produce consistently excellent material.
