MANSQUITO (MOSQUITOMAN in Europe) was on SYFY at 5 a.m. PST, and I was treated to her performance for the first time. She is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST ACTRESS ON THE PLANET! She is so cold, heartless and ill-trained that each scene becomes more hilarious than the next. Her obviously fake stage name completely suits her. If I have offended her huge fan base, please email me back. If Ms. Vander is reading, do contribute... I want to write your memoir!

Rickeybobby -- Why would an actress with an obvious Dutch/South African name, who is South African, make it up as a stage name? That doesn't make sense. It's her real name or a variance of. I also believe she's had some bad acting performances as well, but she's had some damn good ones also. I can't remember the name of the movie with Tom Berringer that came out in '08 or '09 [detective movie].Oh yea "Breaking Point". But I thought it was a powerful performance. I could mention other movies as well. My personal belief is it's in the script. A super star actor can usually pull off any script. A super star she's not. She is however a decent actress who has limitations, but can turn in some pretty damn good performances. I've seen them. She also has that X factor looking into a camera. She may not be considered breathtakingly beautiful by some, but has a sexy allure. Especially looking in to camera [the X factor]. I'm not a rabid fan, but I do like her.

Yes, of course it is the script. A working writer in LA, I have seen it happen so many times: name actor hired, has a few ideas, script integrity out the window. And it's true that MANSQUITO has the worst script ever, beneath even Ed Wood quality. Look up writer/director Tibor Polak on imdb: his pic is even sadder than his auteur abilities.

Rickeybobby -- Yes, I agree. Commenting on what I consider the X factor as previously mentioned, it is amazing to me that some make it extremely successful on camera such as Grear Garson [ maybe before your time], and others which are too numerous to even start don't. Case in point. In my opinion Dana Winter had a much sexier allure in to the camera than did Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor had probably more pure chiseled beauty. Not to take anything away from Liz. Maybe it's a modeling instinct thing that knows what's alluring to the camera I don't know. However I believe Winter has it over Taylor in that regard. If you see some of Dana Winter's scenes in "Shake hands with the Devil" you will know exactly what I'm talking about.

she often terrible, but I've found that her acting has improved in recent years.

Why do unhappy people go to obscure message boards for little known actors? Oh, to call them horribly untalented!? Was Starbucks out of their fave flavor that day? High school paper fired them as movie critic, yeah that's it. Get a life.

You really think you can judge an actor's range by watching a movie called "Mansquito"? It's a b-movie and you cannot expect too much from it! In What's Up Scarlet and Under the Hula Moon she shows off her comedy skills otherwise if you like drama you should check Breaking Boint, Johnny (It's a Christian film, not my kind but she delivers a powerful performance) or the recent 5 Hour Friends...
