My favorite stewardess in Pan Am.

She is by far my favorite and the most interesting.

Yes!!! OMG her performance tonight was outstanding. She really made me feel Collette's sadness and pulled the story together so well. What a wonderful actress,

reply

Absolutely. Every time I think I'm losing interest, her plotline will make me stick with it. She's definitely the strongest actress on the show.

Agree here.

The Ricci character does little for me. The whole proto radical feminist thing is just to forced.

Likewise, the vapid blond runaway bride having a fling before accepting her destiny as a chunky housewife with three kids in the suburbs holds no appeal.

Ditto the would be spy with mommy issues.

But Colette? Now there is an intelligent character that to date has been well played.

She's quickly standing out in the foursome.

Yep. Totally. I thought ep1.03 brought an Emmy worthy performance from her. Excellent work. Her acting and her character are the most engaging of the series by far.

And now I find out that she's from La Belle Province.
As a fellow Canadian, that makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

DEFINITELY! She was the most intrigueing to me in the pilot, and just continues to hold my interest. Her acting seems so natural, especially in contrast with a few of the other cast members that just feel like attractive props. She's pretty much the only reason I'm watching; and the fact that I'm a sucker for that time period ;)

If ABC cancels Pan Am I hope that at least Karine gets a lot of movie roles or a leading role in a successful TV show.

I agree. She's definitely the "redeeming quality" of the show. I lost interest in the show after three episodes, because of the silly little spy plotline. Although I don't think Kelli Garner does a half-bad job either, and she's definitely the "other" pretty girl of the show, imho.

Regarding the Nazi storyline in episode three - it's quite understandable for her (character) to feel the way she did at the party, that ALL Germans who lived back then (or who were even associated with them, like the poor delivery guy/gal) were evil Jew-hating Nazis - but that's really not the case. What I'm trying to say is, there is a distinction between a foot soldier (or an officer) in the German Army and a genocidal SS trooper...And also, most Germans didn't really have a -choice-.

(disclaimer - I'm not German or in any way affiliated with anybody...i'm just a history and retro buff. :)
