Has it been confirmed that she is not in the next CA movie?

i think it's bull that we've heard nothing since civil war was announced about her. before the cw announcement the writers teased that sharon carter will be "active." i love the character sharon carter in the comics. too bad she has been short changed in the mcu.

I heard that her series Revenge was supposed to have some kind of meetup or convention this summer. However it got cancelled. Rumours stat a few reasons why:

-Series is already on final season or has been cancelled.
-Emily couldn't make it because she is filming CA3.

Wasn't she contracted to appear in ca3?

If I remember correctly, she signed a three-picture deal with Marvel, which is standard for most of the actors that they're signing on. Whether Marvel chooses to use different actors in which films, though, isn't specified.

On the other hand, contracts can be renegotiated to allow actors to cross over to the TV shows, so Marvel might end up utilizing that option in the interim.

I'm hoping she'll be in Cap 3, partly because of the dangling story thread we'll be left with from Cap 2 (they wouldn't need to have had Natasha telling Steve to call the nurse and giving him her first name otherwise), and partly because the Russos said they went back and filmed Sharon and Maria's after-story scenes after they found out what would happen in Age of Ultron. They wanted her at the CIA because it would play a part in Civil War.

The movie really does need her, basically, and I'm hoping we'll get an announcement soon.

No, it doesn't need her or her bad acting. Yuck.

I agree the obsession with having Black Widow in everything/ or in every scene is getting ridiculous.

The character should have a huge role in civil war, but Emily isn't someone who will bring in a lot of money so she won't have a very big role, unfortunately.
