Have you read Article 2 of the Constitution? It lays out all the things a President can do. But Trump is right, he can do anything he wants according to Article 2.

Trump lies when he says article 2 allows him to do whatever he wants as president.
The president can do the following per article 2.
1. Commander in Chief of the military.
2. Require the opinion of officers in the Executive.
3. Grant pardons.
4. Make treaties.
5. Appoint Ambassadors, public Ministers / Consuls, Judges of the Supreme Court, and some other Officers of the United States.
6. Make appointments to vacant Senate seats.
7. Make State of the Union addresses.
8. Convene or adjourn Congress.
9. Receive Ambassadors.
10. Commission military officers.
11. Take care that the Laws be faithfully executed.
Number 11 is huge. The Code of Federal Regulations is massive and it belongs to the president. When Trump wanted his own gun grab, he ordered the ATF to amend 27 CFR to call bump stocks contraband machine guns. The president can do many things per article 2 of the Constitution, but there are many things he cannot do as those powers are reserved for Congress, the courts and the states.
Keep in mind, Trump said article 2 allowed him to do anything; but he is restricted to those 11 things. Trump thinks you are stupid.
