That dude made one of the dumbest posts I have ever seen on the entire internet. Quite an achievement.

Tell us what country "vets" presidential candidates/prime minsters/etc. and what the process is.

Who are "they" that would investigate/vet?

I am not a supporter of Trump, but OP clearly lacks any understanding of politics. Most major parties of any country vet candidates to ensure there is nothing in their past that could cause embarrassment to the party.

As for Trump, he was a celebrity before he decided to run for President. He had a lot of money which helped. Most candidates have to raise money thru corporate and special interest donations, who in turn expect something in return for their support. In spite of his controversial comments, or because of them depending on your viewpoint of the man, he managed to become President.

All candidates must get elected as well, meaning they have to get enough votes to become President.

That, in a nutshell, is the vetting system the OP was wondering about.

thats why people liked Trump, because he couldnt be bought with money. and thats why republicans and democrats wanted him out of office, they wanted to go back to the status quo. now things are back to normal and everyone in congress seems content.
