My point was that Memorial Day is a solemn day of reflection and remembrance of those that died - it is not a day to wish "Happy Memorial Day." Memorial Day is not "happy." There are other days to celebrate and other historic dates.
But in other words - and as in the use of your idiotic line about respect - by your wishing "Happy," YOU are happy for the dead soldiers, right?
