What is Trump's legacy?

Did he do anything great that will be remembered fondly?

reply

Upset Leftard's for decades to come.

reply

Absolutely nothing. Trump is ranked third worst president behind only George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter.

Trump ultimately has a legacy many presidents would be envious of, regardless of how most people feel about him or how he comes across. The sheer number of federal judge appointment, let alone the three supreme court appointments will be a tangible effect of his presidency for a generation.

His ideology and it's influence, for better or worse, will influence a generation of Republicans. In short, Trumpism is here to stay for awhile. Say what you want about the GOP, they at least have formed a new identify and game plan going forward, something the Democrats will have to wage a painful campaign of infighting to do for themselves. This will likely lead to a wave of elected Republicans who adhere to Trumpism, but have the ability and know-how to actually accomplish more.

His tax reforms are here for probably two, maybe three generations. That in and of itself is a significant deal.

You could aruge that he ruined the US image and endangered long standing alliances, however, if you travel the world at all, or have friends in different countries, they will tell you that they have long thought of America, and by extension, Americans, as rude, boisterous, egotistical blowhards who should mind their own business. This is without even getting into the shift in global politics in different regions of the world who have their own version of Trumpism in full swing.

This election was not a repudiation of Trump or his policies, as evident by the lack of a landslide and the Democratic struggles in Senate and House elections. The fact that this struggle happened in a crucial time period where the census is going to result in redrawn maps, the Democrats really missed the boat. The failure to secure the opportunity to have more input in these matters is going to go down as a largely trump related impact.

Quite frankly, he had as much impact as he was likely going to have in one term, I don't personally believe he could've added much to his impact with a second term.

People will read about him in history books while landing over Trump towers [skyline] in various cities all the world.

Long after we're all dead.

He doesn't deserve either...but that's just going to happen.

It's been just one day after Biden became #46 so I would be a fool to ponder about Trump's legacy.

But I think coronavirus and the great pandemic of 2020 will always be associated with his name.

Neo-fascism is his legacy.

He showed us who the true RINOs were and made the wolves in the Democrat Party drop their sheep’s clothing

Why do we have to keep seeing this guy's face? He is yesterday's news.

"Every four years we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power..."
-- Donald Trump in his inaugural speech, Jan 2017

With two months to go, he has an opportunity to man up and show the world, what gracious and mature leadership is. Instead, he's going to waste it demonstrating what a whiny, self-absorbed little man he is. That will be his legacy.

His supporters can do what's good and right, and demonstrate the good will and cooperation that he cannot. Let the followers become the leaders...
