FAUX News anchor Martha MacCallum blatantly lies during 'Town Hall' meeting with Castro

At a 'Town Hall' meeting with Democrat Julian Castro, co-moderator and FAUX News anchor Martha MacCallum blatantly lied about immigration statistics, and stood by her lies.

During the town hall, Martha MacCallum claimed that 90% of immigrants who are detained and then released “do not ever show up for their court date.” It's a Qanon conspiracy lie which the network has repeated over and over again, despite being corrected months ago. It's a false a stat also used by the network's opinion contributor Tom Homan, whom President Donald Trump recently named as his border czar.

Castro called her out on the lie, and mentioned the Obama-era Family Case Management Program, which he said saw a “more than a 98% return rate” for immigrants going to court.

Rather than address the correction (or admit she was lying), McCallum avoided his response by saying, “It doesn’t sound like there’s anyone that you wouldn’t let in. I mean, is there anyone you wouldn’t let in?”

FAUX News has been under fire lately, and has seen their ad revenue drop because of their prime-time lineup pushing dangerous conspiracy theories and unabashed white supremacy. McCallum decided to stay the course and keep pushing the conspiracy theory with Castro, not expecting him to correct her.
