Presidential candidate Warren turns down FOX News' invite for a 'town hall meeting'

Describing FOX News Channel as a "hate for profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracists,” Presidential hopeful Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) turned down the network's invitation to address a 'town hall audience' at their network.

“A Fox News town hall adds money to the hate-for-profit machine. To which I say: hard pass,” she Tweeted yesterday. “Fox News is welcome to come to my events just like any other outlet.”

Just about all the Democratic candidates have criticized FOX for their coverage of T-rump's presidency (they've been coined 'T-rump TV' by many liberals and independents), though two have already done a 'Town Hall' on the network. Two more are scheduled to participate in upcoming ones.

Since the beginning of the year, Warren has done 17 state town halls, had 57 'media availabilities', and did over 100 one-on-one interviews with reporters. She makes no apologies for dismissing FOX.

“I won’t ask millions of Democratic primary voters to tune into an outlet that profits from racism and hate in order to see our candidates — especially when Fox will make even more money adding our valuable audience to their ratings numbers,” she explained. "Hate-for-profit works only if there’s profit, so Fox News balances a mix of bigotry, racism, and outright lies with enough legit journalism to make the claim to advertisers that it’s a reputable news outlet. It’s all about dragging in ad money — big ad money."

Everyone on the left is always afraid that if the right and the left debate, people will be more persuaded by the right than the left. It's weird. How can you be on the left if you think that? Bernie went on Fox no problem. The whole deplatforming thing is an admission that you're the one pulling the strings.

reply

This has nothing to do what Warren is saying at all, but thanks for your opinion !

reply

Bernie went on Fox no problem because he knew he could persuade people on the right. Fox allowed him to do it because they knew it would fuel their hate-for-profit machine. Fox asked Warren to do it too because they know it fuels their hate-for-profit machine. Warren is refusing to do it because of her disdain for the hate-for-profit machine.

reply

Everyone on the left, huh? Are you sure?

Kamala Harris is reportedly dismissing Town Hall invites from Fox as well, according to two sources on her campaign. Fox has reached out to her, and she has yet to respond. Sources say her mind is made up and she’s not participating.

reply

FOX isn't a NEWS CHANNEL.

It's another form of the BREAD and CIRCUS situation in ANCIENT ROME …

where they also tried to DISTRACT the CROWDS …

by BURNING CHRISTIANS at the STAKE and FEEDING them to LIONS …

as a way to keep the people ENTERTAINED enough not to notice the way those who RULED THEM were STARVING THEM and ROBBING them BLIND.

reply

What is she afraid of? If Fox is so fake then she should have no trouble destroying their narrative as a well-spoken future president.

reply

Who said she’s afraid of anything? Nothing in her statement indicates she’s afraid of anything.

Then if a politician said something it must be true

Which politician said something that must be true?
