Mueller Report, even redacted, is damning of Trump and cover-up man Bill Barr. No one can cry "no collusion" anymore.

Based on the report itself, there’s actually ample evidence of collusion.

The report details out how Trump and his campaign knew about the Russian interference effort, actively encouraged it, and would profit from it. They had numerous contacts that allowed everyone to understand that Trump welcomed the help and would reciprocate. Through most of the campaign he was trying to secure a Trump Tower Moscow deal that required Russian government assistance and would be worth hundreds of millions. Even if the smoking gun was never found in a signed document between Trump and Putin, the incentives were obvious. Crucially, Trump repeatedly lied about all these facts.

Clearly President Trump knew that these facts would be devastating politically and could end his presidency. He’s quoted as saying as much in the Report itself. He also could have no confidence they didn’t amount to crimes. And we haven't even learned what Barr has redacted yet.

Regardless, the salient point is that Trump knew the investigation constituted a mortal political threat. He chose to use every power at his disposal to obstruct the investigation.

It’s really that simple.

As a legal matter, you’re not allowed to obstruct or interfere with an investigation at all. For the simpler question of why – why did the President constantly lie, hide evidence and try to derail to investigation – the Report makes that crystal clear.

You've got that right! Lock him up, the sooner the better!

Hear Hear.

And just think, we still haven't gotten to the parts of the report Barr redacted that either congress will subpoena or someone will leak.

Yum Yum.

Plus Mueller's testimony before congress now will be the most highly anticipated event of Trump's term.

I'd love to be the fly on the wall that gets to watch his head explode as Mueller's delivering all the gory details.

reply

Now we see why it took more than three weeks to release this. How FOX will continue to spin this in their favor is beyond me.

reply

There is so much in here. I'm still processing it.

12 secret court cases redacted from the report. Biggest disappointment is Mueller's failure to subpoena financials.

House Judiciary has a lot of catching up to do getting his financial records, except GOP Congress members are playing interference for Trump right now and every time Dems issue subpoena the Republicans contact the same organization and tell them to ignore Dem subpoenas. These guys are like their own cartel now.

Did you hear about the 200 million investment by Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska into a Kentucky Aluminum plant to reward Mitch McConnell for agreeing to let Trump lift sanctions from his firm late last year?

reply

I was actually LOL'ing at the section where Trump's "answers" (obviously written by his legal team since Trumpie can barely read, let alone write) all contained the phrases "I don't remember," "I don't recall," and "I have no recollection."

Last night on MSNBC, I believe it was Maddow who mentioned these 12 court cases. I believe she said they were redacted because they are on-going court cases, yet once they are concluded we shall know what it's all about. She also said (up front) we got more than she ever expected - and it was one of the most important days in presidential history.

The other night she mentioned Mueller didn't go after T-rump's financials, because T-rump made it known he would fire him under no uncertain terms if he did . That's why the Dems are now going after his financials.

She had one of the best shows of the past 10 years on last night. She highlighted the whole Mueller report in the most uncomplicated terms for her audience. One hour was not enough - she - along with Hayes and O'Donnell - should have gotten together and done a 3 hour special.

What Law School did you go to?

reply

Boalt. You?

reply

So you went to a prestigious law school and yet you spend your time on here debating with trolls. One would assume that you would be so busy working at a law firm that you wouldn't have time to spend on a chat board. I am also amused that you purport to be smarter than the acting AG.

I am currently at Harvard studying Psychology.

reply

Sure you are.

Bill Barr ascribes to a Unitary Executive theory that virtually no one else in the legal profession believes. If you don't understand what that means, you should look it up.

reply

And yet you call people "kid" on the internet. More like Bolt.

reply

Stop drinking the koolaid. Take your politics somewhere else.

reply

Wrong channel kid.

reply

Thats right. You chose the wrong place. Take you politics somewhere else.

At this point, I'm starting to not even care. I cared once about this Mueller investigation but we're approaching the end of Trump's first term and he's still here. I hate that this orange bastard has made it this far, but he has.

I guess I'm sick and tired of this entire situation because there is nothing but TALK but no action. Either impeach him or move on, good god. Sh!t or get off the pot, as they say.

I want the bastard gone but no one with the authority to do so is doing a damn thing about it. Just article after article about "Dems consider impeachment", "Dems wonder if they should impeach", "Word is he may not have committed a crime but has actually committed one technically" and blah blah blah.

The only hope of possibly being rid of this orange turd in 2021 is the fact that Bernie is absolutely making a killing out there and even wisely (and hilariously) stealing some of the turd's FOX thunder. Bernie might be our last hope of getting rid of Trump but I'm thinking the dems are going to be morons and run with Warren or one of those Ultra-PC ones again and give us Hillary 2.0 which will only guarantee the orange turd wins again.

We'll see, though.

Mueller has provided a detailed roadmap for impeachment. I just don't think I could be as involved if they punt on this. I'll vote, but I have other uses for my money.

reply

Well one things for clear- when trumps finally out of office, a shitstorm of never ending legal troubles are heading his way. It’s not going to be pretty.

reply

Lol, now its after his term? Same shit the lefts been saying for two years. Way to move the goalpost.

reply

Yes, the southern district of NY has at least dozen criminal cases on him.

Whenever he leaves the white house, whether by impeachment, resignation or losing in 2020.

He's f...ed!

And that was the exact word he used when he found out Mueller was assigned to the investigation.
