I think you'll be surprised how long this drags on, and the implications thereof. Ben Shapiro went from saying it was embarrassingly immoral but NOT criminal to being possibly criminal. He's a lawyer, so he'd understand the implications a bit better. This morning people were patting him on the back, and now he's that fellow who was always NeverTrump. He never stopped being that fellow, but he does try to call them as he sees them.

David French, another skeptic, has a good article in the National Review. He's also a lawyer. He's more practical: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-mueller-report-should-shock-our-conscience/.

Then there's Mueller's report to Congress to play out. The fat lady hasn't sung yet, no matter how the Trump Administration and Trump himself are trying to spin it.

reply

Can you specifically cite the page and paragraph in the Mueller Report which exonerates him?

reply

[deleted]

Mueller found no criminal conspiracy between the president’s team and Moscow. Second, Mueller declined to recommend charges against Trump.

reply

You're obviously repeating propaganda instead of reading the report for yourself. I'm up to page 94 and the report clearly contradicts you.

Trump and his campaign worked closely with a foreign hostile government whose military arm successfully tampered with U.S. voting machines, stole voting information of millions and created a misinformation campaign with the end goal of destroying democracy and electing a crook".

Trump, his campaign and supporters were willing to work with Russia, China and Iran:

page 63:
"Smith made claims to others involved in the effort (and those from whom he sought funding) that he was in contact with hackers with "ties and affiliations to Russia" who had access to the emails, and that his efforts were coordinated with the Trump Campaign."

Donald Jr was happy to accept a stolen password for an anti-Trump website given to him by Wikileaks which was receiving stolen information by Russian spies:

page 60
"..I tried the password and it works..."

Trump directed help from the Russian government to spy on an American and release any attained information. The Russians only acted AFTER Trump's request:

page 49:
""Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press."...Within approximately five hours of Trump's statement, GRU officers targeted for the first time Clinton's personal office. After candidate Trump's remarks, Unit 26165 created and sent malicious links targeting 15 email accounts at the domain including an email account belonging to Clinton aide The investigation did not find evidence of earlier GRU attempts to compromise accounts hosted on this domain."

There is plenty more. This anti-American activity by an American president needs to be fully reviewed by Congress.

Smith tried to locate and obtain the emails himself. He created a company, raised tens of thousands of
dollars, and recruited security experts and business associates. Smith made claims to others
involved in the effort (and those from whom he sought funding) that he was in contact with hackers.

No where in that sentence does it say Donald J Trump personally orchestrated this. You keep say Trump and his campaign, well I am reading the same thing you are and it says the Trump Campaign. Trump did NOT tell anybody to do anything.

Page 60:

WikiLeaks sent a Twitter direct message to Donald Trump Jr., "A PAC run
anti-Trump site putintrump.org is about to launch. The PAC is a recycled pro-Iraq war PAC. We
have guessed the password. It is 'putintrump.' See 'About' for who is behind it. Any
comments ?"253
Several hours later, Trump Jr. emailed a variety of senior campaign staff:
Guys I got a weird Twitter DM from wikileaks. See below. I tried the password and it
works and the about section they reference contains the next pie in terms of who is behind
it. Not sure if this is anything but it seems like it's really wikileaks asking me as I follow
them and it is a DM. Do you know the people mentioned and what the conspiracy they are
looking for could be? These are just screen shots but it' s a fully built out page claiming to
be a PAC let me know your thoughts and ifwe want to look into it.254
Trump Jr. attached a screenshot of the "About" page for the unlaunched site PutinTrump.org.

Again you are cherry picking certain phrases. This is same thing the mainstream media does. It was an anti-Trump website that was decimating false information.

Summer and Fall 2016 Operations Targeting Democrat-Linked Victims
On July 27 2016 , Unit 26165 targeted email accounts connected to candidate Clinton's
personal office
. Earlier that day, candidate Trump made public statements that
included the following: "Russia , if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails
that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press." 183 The "30,000
emails" were apparently a reference to emails described in media accounts as having been stored
on a personal server that candidate Clinton had used while serving as Secretary of State.
Within approximately five hours of Trump's statement, GRU officers targeted for the first
time Clinton's personal office. After candidate Trump's remarks , Unit 26165 created and sent
malicious links targeting 15 email accounts at the domain
including an email
account belonging to Clinton aide
The investigation did not find evidence of earlier
GRU attempts to compromise accounts hosted on this domain. It is unclear how the GRU was
able to identify these email accounts, which were not public. 184
Unit 26165 officers also hacked into a DNC account hosted on a cloud-computing service
On September 20, 2016, the GRU began to generate

Its obviously a tongue in cheek comment, Trump did NOT order the hacking of Clintons emails, nor did Trump receive Hillarys emails. There is no evidence that the emails were sent to Trump. People say stupid things publicly all the time, just because someone did it doesn't mean the person that said can be held accountable.

If there was any wrong doing by Trump, he would be most likely impeached, charged or indicted by now. But he is still President.

I am still hoping that Mueller will investigate the spying on Trump and the Steele Dossier.

reply

I also find it funny that the missing emails that Hillarys team could not find was found by Russia. Thats pretty ironic right there.

reply

And to think, Trump has complained so vocally about, and even wanted to stop, his great exoneration.

Oh and Mueller passing the buck on prosecuting for obstruction due to the legal questions involved regarding a President is nowhere close to clearing Trump.

For a guy in control of the best people, you sure are suggesting a lot of people doing a lot of illegal things on Trumps behalf, and each one of the Christmas elves coincidentally doing their part secretly, and without Trumps authorization or direction.

Meanwhile this hilarious escape clause contrasts against weak sauce like Conway crowing about a "former Obama official" in the White House today getting indicted in this, again trying to pretend the Democrats, especially "that black guy" and "that woman," are probably the real culprits behind everything from Mueller to Trumps bone spurs.

Im sure you enjoy chants of "lock her up" without demanding any evidence or proof or logic or sanity before the chanters jump to that conclusion.

reply

"Its obviously a tongue in cheek comment,"

Obviously it's not since the report repeatedly states that Trump was desperately trying to find the emails and had no problem working with Russian spies and their ally Wikileaks to find them.

As you know, space on this site is extremely limited which is why I only paste small snippets. Once again, I invite everyone to read the WHOLE report.

It's on multiple sites, but I find this link provides a fast and easy download:
https://cdn.cnn.com/cnn/2019/images/04/18/mueller-report-searchable.pdf

"If there was any wrong doing by Trump, he would be most likely impeached, charged or indicted by now."

Are you being dishonest on purpose? The redacted report was only released last Thursday. Congress wants the full report in order to examine it for possible impeachment which Trump's lackey has refused. His lackey also lied about the content of the report before its release. If Trump is innocent, the full report would be released to Congress and his lackey wouldn't have lied about its contents.

RE: Smith:

page 63:
"On August 28, 2016, Smith sent an email from an encrypted account with the subject "Sec . Clinton's unsecured private email server" to an undisclosed list of recipients , including Campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis."

The Trump campaign received information obtained from Russian spies and didn't report it to the FBI or CIA.

RE: password
An anti-Trump website is allowed to exists in a democracy. Donald Jr. receiving stolen and hacked information from a hostile foreign government is not acceptable.
