"T-rump vs. McCain's Ghost" is similar to Nixon talking to dead people

T-rump's ongoing fight with John McCain's ghost this past week is eerily similar to when Nixon would walk the halls of the White House and talk to the paintings of dead Presidents. This was at the very end of his disgraced Presidency, as his mind started to unravel quickly and he claimed he 'couldn't trust anyone'.

Here we have a similar case with T-rump, as he fights with a dead senator, as his mind continues to unravel. We may be witnessing Nixon all over again.

Intriguing!

The similarities are uncanny. I believe it was Kissinger who first revealed Nixon's behavior of wandering the halls and talking to the 'dead presidents' in the portraits just months before his resignation. Kissinger said it was the unraveling of his mental health (he did suffer from paranoia), but others tried to suggest it was the whiskey he used to nip in the Oval Office to cover up his paranoia (I doubt it).

Now we have this guy fighting with a dead senator.

Go figure.

I wouldn't compare Trump to Nixon other than they both were Presidents and may have mental disease. DJT is one-of-a-kind. Dick was humble and modest in comparison, and having imaginary discussions with great Americans from the past isn't necessarily a bad thing. Contrary to common perception, talking to oneself or having a shadow conversation needn't be an indicator of delusion. Still, I have no idea why Trump chooses to bring up McCain in public. He's the guy who deserves excoriating at every turn. History will look very poorly on this president, worse than Buchanan and Hoover combined.

They have more in common than just that.

Do tell ? Seriously. Nixon, I believe, grew up very modestly. He was a career politician, and actually was elected into office by popular vote. I'm guessing he was only married once. So far, this doesn't sound like Trump.

Both their presidencies have much in common, though not how they got there.

Both under investigation, both with an impeachment shadowing their every move, and both minds unraveling as things become more intense.

Trolling is original, unique and creative. You're totally not blandly parroting the exact styles and strategies copied by thousands of others. You totally don't sound indistinguishable from the other trolls, and it totally doesn't give the impression of an ultraconformist hive mind mentality.

Is this the one about Mexico will pay for the wall ?

reply

Agreed. Nixon was NOTHING like Trump in terms of insanity and incompetence. Trump is on a whole new level we've never seen before...on ALL counts.

Instead of selling us out to the Chinese he's selling us out to the Russians?

reply

One Nixonian thing Trump will NOT do though is resign peacefully. Unlike Nixon, they'd have to drag that fat, ugly, blubbering baby out of the White House, kicking and screaming. Trump would NEVER...EVER take the Nixon way out.

Not if they target Ivanka, and indict her either on the state level or federal level. That will bring him out - if nothing else.
