Sarah Hillbilly Sanders believes that God chose Trump to be President

We heard the same thing for W Bush. Strangely the right changed its tune during Obama's presidency and all of a sudden the president was some kind of false messiah. Now we're back to god picked muh president. But things are a little different and its difficult to tell if the alt-right is going along with it just because they think it triggers the left.

I agreed with her. I believed that God wanted Trump to be President.

First, attack beliefs of other faiths while you're at it. Second, we believe that God is Sovereign. God chose Obama to be President, too. That's one of the reasons why Christians are commanded to pray for our leaders. But people who claim this often forget Daniel 4:17b -- "...the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men." He's done that a lot.

For those who don't even believe in God, there's an old saying, "We get the rulers we deserve." I've been alive for 63 years, and in my experience, that seems to be true.

I believe in a god. What I DON'T believe is that God wanted Trump to be president...unless it's to teach everyone a lesson on the state of our society.

If there's one thing that the Trump election opened my eyes to it's that our country is horrifyingly divided. The ONLY way a god could possibly be involved with a slug like Trump is if it's to open our eyes to a larger problem.

I've seen Trumpers actually try to defend the notion of a White-Only America by mentioning the "Tower of Babel" story from the bible...no, I'm NOT kidding...

The electoral college chose Trump. Barely.
