I mainly hate Jones because of all the anti-male crap she was partaking in when the negative reviews came in. I'm not aware of whatever this Milo situation is you're referring to.
I don't appreciate being called "a 40-something sexist loser who lives in his mom's basement" just because I wanted the movie to honor the continuity of the other Ghostbusters films.
I'm sure she probably jumped on that so as to not look bad in the eyes of the feminist moviegoers but she should have known better and shown more class than that. That goes for all those involved who took to insulting us (rightfully-pi$$ed) old Ghostbusters fans.
I honestly attribute about 70% of that movie's failure to the mean-spirited "bash the old fans, sweep them under the rug and cater to a new generation" marketing campaign for that movie.
What an odd way to try to make a blockbuster: a remake of a successful series where the entire cast and staff bashes all the old fans, basically tells them "this isn't for you" and tries to cater to an audience that doesn't exist.
I don't know much about marketing but that doesn't seem to be a bankable idea in my eyes. LOL!
