The Senate just signed a bill to pay furloughed workers retro pay. In other words, they are getting paid not to work. Why not just have them work which is what everyone but Trump wants?
Once again, Trump wastes taxpayers money. No wonder he went bankrupt so many times.
So what was the purpose of keeping them out of work?

This legislation is specifically for the fed. workers who are staying home because they have been furloughed. They will be paid for not working.
Not working because Donny is having a hissy fit because he won’t get his ineffective wall. It’s his fault. He owned it, remember? I say give them a 40% pain and anguish bonus for every day they’re not allowed to work because of this fool.

Contractors are not part of that.
Vendors and businesses that serve those organizations, people with services are not part of that and will receive no compensation for loss wages and revenue for their own services. The ripple effect of shutting down the government for any period of time is quite large. If some federal employees file for unemployment it will drive down the job numbers for a self-inflicted wound and then appear like a boon when they return.
This is just a huge mistake by 45 that is neither leadership, governance, smart or even presidential.
