Petulant T-rump walks out of 'border security' meeting

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi called T-rump's behavior at a meeting today as 'petulant', as the President walked out of a meeting on border security. The meeting was held this afternoon with Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, who later told reporters the President 'slammed his hands down on a table in frustration' and then 'just got up and left the meeting'.

The meeting was held to talk about border security. According to Schumer, “He asked Speaker Pelosi, ‘will you agree to my wall?’ She said no. And he just got up, and said, 'Well we’ve got nothing to discuss.'"

Later in a Tweet, T-rump didn't deny he walked out. “I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!” He also referred to the meeting as a 'total waste of time'.

They say you can tell a lot about a man's character by how he acts while under pressure. I think Donald's behavior speaks for itself on his character.

Those democrats are such unreasonable, hateful people! Not long ago Schumer, Pelosi, Obama, Hillary, etc. were all for a wall but many don't know this.
Their hatred is so obvious.
They hate Trump more than they care about doing what's right because they can't stand seeing him being successful.
They care more about ILLEGALS than Americans.
They should be so ashamed.

The wall would pay for itself instantly because we wouldn't be paying for people who come here illegally and get everything for free! We would have enough money left over (and then some) to take care of our homeless.
Win win.

But the democrats gotta make everything so complicated.
Anyone with a brain knows exactly why they want open borders (besides their hatred for our President).

You're forgetting that Trump said Mexico would pay for the wall. Let them! You need to hold him to his campaign promise.

The Republican Congress and Senate for the last two years didn't want to pay for a useless wall either because they know that most illegals overstay their visas which has nothing to do with the border wall. Furthermore, border crossings have drastically diminished in the past years.

You can't waste $28 billion dollars (the real amount for a complete wall) based on a campaign soundbite. And no, a $28 billion dollar wall wouldn't pay for itself. It still has to be manned, maintained, secured which will continue to cost even more money than the $28 billion.

BTW, Trump hired illegals at his New Jersey golf course therefore his "outrage" against illegals is phony.

I've never seen a decision made by the party in power , without much gnashing of teeth , ya-boo -sucks-ing and insult throwing (thats uk politics for you)
Surely some decisions they must agree on? you'd think ,in theory , this would happen most of the time...
but because of "automatic gainsaying" as monty python put it , the whole thing turns to farce.

It's important to get the actual cash from Mexico now. "Ultimately" sounds like never.

In the meantime, supporters for the wall can donate to the wall Gofundme page. Trump can donate his $400,000 yearly salary to the fund instead of to "charity".

Liability = money taken out of your wallet
Investment = money added to your wallet

Since the wall will increase the national debt, it's a liability.

Illegals actually commit less crime than Americans. Anyway, if Trump supporters were actually serious about less crime, they would advocate for strict gun control laws. Why are gun shops and gun owners selling guns to criminals with records?

The wall idea is stupid because most illegals overstay their visas. As for illegal crossings, a border patrol agent told Trump during his visit Friday that two tunnels were built recently under the wall so it sounds useless. I saw people easily climbing over a wall a few weeks ago, too. And most drugs come through legal ports of entry, smuggled in cars or ships.

My idea for getting rid of illegals will actually put money into the economy. Arrest any American employer who hires them and charge large fines. That stops incentive for coming here.

We could start with Trump since he has employed many illegals for his New Jersey golf course.

They were for a fence, not a wall.

The democrats will accept a wall, but Mexico has to pay for it like Trump said. We get it that Trump lies all the time. But it's not a requirement of the democrats to make the American people literally pay for his lie.

Oh believe me most of us are fully aware Trump was full of it when he said it, but the Trumpers ate it up because it sounded good.

Let's say the community lets you have a wall after you said you could get your neighbor to pay for it. Then after you move in you say, nah, you all have to pay for it because my neighbor doesn't want to. Do you get your wall?

For the first time in three years, Pence spoke ? Yes, he's very credible and trustworthy.

"And even if he did, so what?" So that's not the behavior I want to see in someone who is supposed to be President, and overseeing Americans. No intelligent person wants to see their country run by a petulant, tantrum throwing 72 year old.

As for the wall paying for itself instantly - he promised 20 times in his campaign speeches "MEXICO WILL PAY FOR THE WALL, MARK MY WORDS"

So where are the pesos?

What is your obsession with transgenders? Quite a number of your posts on this forum always deals with 'transgenders' in one way or another, such as this one which has nothing to do with the topic being discussed.

Do you somehow feel threatened in some way by transgendered people? You may want to contact the producers of "Dr. Phil", and see if you can be a guest on the show. Perhaps he can help you?

I haven't seen 'all these headlines' you are referring to in your post (which makes me believe there aren't that many). Fake news AKA propaganda. They were in favor of continuing funding for the existing fencing, which goes back to 2006. They were never in favor of a wall, nor are they in favor of the other fake new propaganda, "open borders." The right wing is basically creating its own false narrative again.

Simple compromise, and I'm not sure if its been discussed

Schumer and the left agreed to border security $ in the past. 5 billion out of 19 milion GDP is nothing. They give Trump his $5 billion for border security, but it can't be in the form of a wall. A wall is not necessarily the answer, maybe in some places, but no over 1200 miles of border. Take the money to beef up security presence, personnel, etc. If Trump won't comprise than this shutdown falls squarely on him. Reform the process for legal immigration to make it easier to apply. No amnesty for illegals. Making being illegal a felony. Bust sanctuary cities.

Schumer and the left agreed to border security $ for better security, not a wall. This was when Obama was still president, and before T-rump promised more than 20 times "Mexico will pay for the wall". By doing so, T-rump changed the whole dynamic of the deal - it was his wall, and Mexico was paying for it. Period.

I'm not sure why the Dems have to now require taxpayers to help foot the bill when the majority of Americans do not want a wall in the first place (like the Democrats, they want better border security - but not a physical wall.) Republicans and T-rump supporters voted for T-rump on his campaign promises - including 'Mexico will pay for the wall.' SO far he hasn't lived up to the majority of his promises - it's about time the Republicans held him up to his accountability.

Obama passed Obamacare without shutting anything down. Ted Cruz later shut the government down to try to defund what was already law.

Trump had two years to get his wall with republicans in control of senate and house. Now that dems are taking control of the house Trump is playing this game of shutting down the government to try to blame democrats for it. He had two friggin years to build this thing but republicans didn't want it.
