Rosenstein plans to leave Justice Dept. shortly after Barr confirmed

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is planning to leave the Justice Department shortly after William Barr, the President's nominee for attorney general, is confirmed, according to a source familiar with his thinking.

The source said Rosenstein is not being forced out, and he has conveyed his thinking to the White House.

The deputy attorney general has been managing special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation and has signaled to other officials that he would leave when he was satisfied that Mueller's investigation was either complete or close enough to completion that it was protected.

Oof. You couldn't get people to leave the titanic quicker than they do the Trump Administration.

reply

Yes, but unlike the Titanic, leaving the Trump administration doesn't necessarily mean you won't still sink...

So this practically confirms the rumors (which have been floating around since mid-November) that Mueller is nearing the finish line for his investigation. Great news!

Simple. The failed Mueller witch hunt is wrapping up. 2 years, a hundred million, zero evidence of Trump Russia collusion. Rosenstein wants out before the witch hunt goes Kevin Spacey.

LOL!
