First Baldwin, now Avenatti arrested

Well Trump has seemed to be in a particularly bad mood lately but this should lighten his spirits; Michael Avenatti has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. He is of course denying all charges. From the article:

"Michael Avenatti, who skyrocketed to fame as a chief critic of President Donald Trump and the lawyer for porn actress Stormy Daniels, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of domestic violence, Los Angeles police said.

Police had responded to a domestic violence incident Tuesday and took a report, but Avenatti was taken into custody Wednesday. The police department said the investigation was still ongoing and additional details would be released later."

Trump's still a philandering liar.

reply

LOL. Hostile statement LOL

reply

If this is true, I hope T-rump praises him as being a fine man, like he did Rob Porter.

reply

Rob Porter's ass is GONE too. Isn't he.

A wise orange man once said, they're not sending their best.

reply

A few weeks ago, a Republican was trying to set up Mueller with false accusations. I would just patiently wait this one out to find out the real story.

reply

Hopefully this puts an end to all the Avenatti 2020 talk.

reply

But liberal lawyers are such good people! haha

reply

T-rump thinks men who assault women are even better people. Ask Rob Porter, that fine man! Ha ha!

reply

Ask Clinton too, he is a fine man. ha lolz ha! double pwned!!

reply

Hillary husband bad.

Right now it's looking like a setup. His 2nd wife put out a statement through her attorney that said the TMZ article that identified her was bogus and she hadn't seen Michael in months.

His first wife said it wasn't her either.

Both said they'd never witnessed him becoming violent.

But LAPD did arrest him. TMZ amended statement saying it was another woman, not ex. We'll see. I'm naturally suspicious of any story TMZ breaks since they're not big on vetting and Harry Levin is a pro-Trump tabloid publisher who cuts from the David Pecker mold.

SUREFIRE INTELLIGENCE reports that Mueller & Avenatti are wife beaters.

(The call came from Cernovichs' basement)

Alex Jones & Rush Limbaugh & Steve Doocey ejaculate what's left of their brains over the news.

reply

Yeah I just saw that too.

Looks like Jacob Wohl was behind it. That twerp needs to be taught a lesson.

reply

Not hearing much from the Reich Wing about their own "FAKE NEWS! FAKE NEWS! FAKE NEWS!"

reply

I'd be very afraid if I were TMZ if Wohl really is behind it, and it looks like he is. It's already a problem for TMZ that they're biased against democrats, but going after a guy like Avenatti is probably the worst kind of target you'd want to attack with fabricated nonsense. It probably won't pan out well for Wohl either. Burkman might wanna consider pulling a Trump and start saying he doesn't actually know the guy.

reply

It's hard to understand how Wohl doesn't see how he's up to his eyeballs in trouble already after the FBI opened an investigation into him for trying to frame Mueller. I'm sure being a 20 year old has a great deal to do with his apparent cluelessness, but still. I wouldn't be surprised to learn he's being mentored by James O'Keefe.

California has a mandatory arrest policy on domestic violence calls and false accusations are only charged as a misdemeanor. The law overcompensates to protect potential victims of DV based on the stats and history. But the flip side of that is it'd very easy to get someone arrested on a bullshit accusation if someone is intent on a setup with minimum consequences to pay even if exposed. If desperate enough and offered enough money, as women approached and offered 20k by Wohl to setup Mueller have told the press, I could see it happening. But it'd be hard to imagine it wouldn't somehow also get exposed with a target as high profile as Avenatti.

Hope this gets resolved soon. And if it's fake, I hope Avenatti takes TMZ down and Wohl should be looking at having pay a substantial sum for the damage to his rep in a defamation case. I agree he's pretty much the wrong guy to fuck with. But so is Mueller and that didn't stop this dipshit.

reply

It wouldn't surprise me either if O'Keefe was connected to Wohl somehow. David Daleidan was another protege of his who doctored the Planned Parenthood video. It seems O'Keefe likes to keep a lower profile these days while his Project Veritas minions do his dirty work.

----------------------------------
Then why must it be a 'citizens arrest' when one person calls the police for assault, only for the other party to deny it? What's so special about "domestic assault" compared to the aforementioned?

reply

Because of a change in California law which made some domestic assaults a felony, enabling warrantless citizens arrest based on an accusation. Domestic battery has always been classified a felony (whether domestic or not) but not so for assault in domestic disputes. Assault differs from battery in that battery involves physical force and violence whereas assault is just the threat of physical force or violence. You can probably imagine why opening door to classifying assault without battery as a felony in domestic disputes could be a bad idea.

Right now the problem is the law on false accusations from domestic disputes hasn't caught up. It's a felony to file a false charge alleging assault, which is why it rarely happens. Not so if it's a false accusation of assault or battery from a DV charge. That's only a misdemeanor. IMO, that needs to change.

It's looking like Fox News penned a story on Avenatti's "rise and fall" a little too soon. Should have waited until all the facts were out. But it's Fox, what can you expect.

reply

I'm not surprised one bit!!

reply

it fall and fall hard

reply

The subject was Avenatti, not you. Pull your head out.

reply

Avenatti fall hard.

reply

You never left the ground.

reply

I have a vertical leap of 7 inches.

reply
