In the past year, gas prices have been surging at the pumps rising 15% this year alone. Most of the country is now seeing prices averaging between $2.75 - 2.90 per gallon, and passing the $3 mark will not be too surprising by Memorial Day. In the past few weeks, most of the nation has seen an increase of 18 cents at the pump.

The past few years, drivers have seen the price of regular gas below $2.50 a gallon after hitting the $3 mark in 2014. It's been on the rise since T-rump took office in January, 2017.

Thank You, T-rump! Just what your constituents wanted - higher gas prices to go to your rallys this summer!

Yeah they are, it sucks. I’m confused though. Can you explain to us the policies Obama and a Trump implemented to control the price of gas. Asking for a friend.

Remember when you criticized California Demokkkrats who have a super majority and the governor demokkkrat Jerry Brown for adding a 17 cents per gallon gas tax last year? Me neither.

Obama never proclaimed himself the great businessman or great negotiator like T - rump has done. Obama never took credit for the stock market surging like T-rump has done. There’s the major drastic difference.

So if T-rump wants to take credit for being a genius in business and all the great things in our economy he must be given credit for the surge in gas prices.

Hillary is a 70 year old grandmother living in upstate NY, now a private citizen. She's out of public office. Why are you bringing her into the conversation? Is she always the 'go to answer' for every turmoil T-rump creates?

Next Republikkkans are going to blame her as to why Jackson was never vetted for the VA position, or why he has a drinking problem.

That's perfectly correct.

Not only did Hillary say that after her winning the election there would be talk from Trump of Russian collusion to assist her and Obama stated categorically that the election was safeguarded against any meddling from Russia those people are now stating that Russia helped Trump.

You honestly couldn't make this up and be expected to be believed but there it is, for all to see.

And T-rump did emphatically say that the election was "rigged". He did warn us in early October: claimed he had it on "excellent authority" that the upcoming 'election was already rigged'. To this day, he hasn't revealed which Russian oligarch told him this.

(This was about eight weeks after he asked Russia to get into Hillary's emails.)

He was right - Russia did rig the election.

You DO know that the gas prices you're referring to were the result of our two wars in the Middle East started by George W Bush and really had nothing to do with Obama, right?

I mean, I don't blame Trump for this bump in prices, I blame the Middle East. But fair is fair.

Looks like majority taking the hit on gas prices are the Democrats.

Also, fyi, high gas prices are caused by high crude oil prices. That's because oil costs account for 72% of the price of gasoline. The remaining 28% comes from distribution, refining, and taxes, which are more stable. When oil prices rise, you can expect to see it at the gas pump six weeks later. The world is consuming more oil, not less.

High gas prices are a by-product of the strong economy. It's called "supply and demand". Most college students learn about this in Microeconomics class. Sadly, it appears that Doggiedummy never obtained a college education.

How come Rethuglikkkans didn't agree with your theory when Obama was President and there was a surge in gas prices? They put the blame on his shoulders, and never breathed a word about 'supply and demand'. It was simply Obama's fault, and the Democrats who sided with him. Case closed.

No, I prefer the rock bottom prices while the economy was on the uprise - when our property values increased 20% and the stock market was on the constant rise, while unemployment was falling. All after Obama inherited the worst economy since dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Grew at a snails pace or not, it was much better than what Bush and Cheney left him. He left T-rump a healthy economy, and you know it. Under T-rump, longtime retailers are closing down putting hundreds of thousands out of work. The stock market is a roller coaster. Midwest farmers are scared of the tariffs and now gas prices are skyrocketing.

You’ve had 12 hours and just like the failed mueller witch hunt, failed to produce a single shred of evidence of how obama or trump influenced the price of gas.

Demokkkrats have influenced the price. In California they implemented a 17 cents per gallons gas tax on top of their 60 cents per gallon tax they’ve implemented over decades.
