Alt-right hero Cody Wilson facing child sex assault charges

Cody Wilson, who rose to fame this year with alt-right republicans when he founded Defense Distributed (an on-line site which he developed and released plans for 3D guns) has been charged with sexually assaulting a child. Authorities say he's been hiding in Taiwan, missing his flight home on Wednesday,after being tipped off about the investigation by a friend of the victim. Taiwan has no extradition treaty with the United States.

The 30 year old rising star in the Republican party and a self-described “crypto-anarchist,” first met the girl on a site called SugarDaddyMeet where he operated under the alias “Sanjuro.”

Wilson arranged to meet for sex in subsequent conversations. He texted the girl photos of his penis and described himself as a “big deal,” according to an arrest affidavit. On August 15 he met the young girl at a hotel in Texas, according to hotel surveillance video and stayed in the room about 45 minutes. According to authorities, he paid the girl $500 after he sexually assaulted her.

Gotta love the alt-righters supporting T-rump and their guns. No word yet on whether FOX has offered him his own TV show.

Yeah, you're right, Trump knew about it for 3 weeks or so, and did nothing about it until it was reported in the news a few days ago, the day before he fired Flynn, that Flynn was subject to blackmail by Russia.

"Cody Wilson, 30, had sex with 16-year-old girl he met on an adult dating site, Austin Police Cmdr. Troy Officer said Wednesday at a news conference. He met her at a coffee shop on August 15, brought her to a hotel, and paid her $500 for sex, Officer said.

There is a warrant out for Wilson's arrest on the second-degree felony charge, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years and a potential fine of up to $10,000, Officer said. The age of consent in Texas is 17."

Okay, what he did was wrong but that fucking sugar whore trickster should be charged as well for falsifying her age and using that site when she isn't even legal for it. I checked the site and the minimum says 18 years of age. She's friggin 16 years old so wtf was she even doing on it? She must be that desperate for cash eh?

Yeah cause you know, anyone dating anyone twice their age is a 'dirty old' person or do you think it only applies to men? The site's whole purpose IS to pay for sex and/or companionship. Just because she's a damn minor doesn't take away the fact she knew what she was doing when using that site to lure men to her end goal. Two wrongs don't make a right but we'll gladly ostracize the man for being a man.

Poor horny 30 year old "big deal" Cody Wilson! What's a horny alt right republican to do when he's desperate to have sex with a minor? Advertise on a website and then pay the teen $500 - that's what he did, as any sensible 30 year old would do. And then hide out in Taiwan.

Be proud Republicans - this is the face of younger republicans today which are shaping your party for tomorrow. Be very proud and raise your 3D gun. He should be in the Roy Moore Hall of Shame in no time. Wonder of he has a "Jew lawyer" (take a bow Kayla Moore) yet, to show he's not anti-semitic?

Why does this have to be about party or political stance? There are plenty on the left that do this crap too. Heck, a number of them even hide under the guise of #metoo or whatnot while doing the very thing they oppose. Lot of actors, news anchors, people in power, Asia Argento (a leader of #MeToo) have already been taken down by the rhetoric they spout.

What you're referring to is not even a crime, unless she's going around with a fake ID. Even still, a minor with a fake ID can still get someone busted for statutory. It's 100% the responsibility of the adult to ensure his or her partner is of age.

Wonder how the fine folks at FOX & FRIENDS are going to spin this? Wonder if rabid pit bull Judge Jeanine will call him a 'demon rat' and rip him apart on her show Saturday night? I'm sure she'll blame Hillary for Cody's woes - she'll connect it to Pizzagate somehow.

There definitely could be more to it than an innocent girl getting taken advantage of, but the fact remains that it is up to the adult to not engage with someone who is not of consenting age.

This isn't a situation where Wilson didn't know her age. He was fully aware. If Wilson had $500 to spend on a tryst with a girl, he should've done it with an 18 year old (or 17 in Texas). But he didn't want that. He wanted to experience the edge of engaging in this illegal behavior. Well, this is his punishment.

I don't get he whole age of consent thing in the sense that she clearly knew what she was doing. Doubt her being a year younger than the legal age of consent would've made it any different in terms of what she was attempting to do or go for.

I don't like the double standard where it's up to the guy to be responsible since they're the one providing the income and they being the 'sugar daddy' (hence the site's purpose). I'm just saying both should be responsible and be held accountable. Yes, he should've known better but she had every part in it as well of taking advantage and knowing how men think (for those kind of sites anyway). This is just my opinion on it. Takes 2 to tango.

I get that. It's subjective. It's also why the majority of 16 year olds get tried as adults when committing felonies. However, while it's questionable whether a 16 year old fully grasps the concept of having sex with a 30 year old for money, what's not questionable is whether a 30 year old grasps the concept of having sex with a 16 year old for money. The 16 year old clearly had her eye on the prize, which was money. I can give a pass to a 16 year old blinded by money way more than I can give a 30 year old a pass for being blinded by a strange desire to break the rules. Again, there are plenty 18 year olds who look the part of a 16 year old, and $500 is more than enough to find her. But that wasn't good enough for him. He wanted the real deal. He wanted to ride that edge of doing something illegal. For that, he deserves time in prison. She wanted $500, and her 16 year old brain said this was a good way to get it. She deserves to have the money taken away, and a ruler applied to both wrists.
