FEAR sells out 1M copies on it's first day

Bob Woodward's "FEAR: Trump in the White House" has sold out it's initial printing of 1M copies, according to publisher Simon & Schuster. Most bookstores sold out by late morning, and Amazon is delaying shipment to thousands of buyers until S&S can replenish its stock.

S&S said it had seven printings ahead of the book's release this morning - six times more than the initial printing. The publisher said it's because of reader's demand for the book, which tells of the 'inner workings' of the T-rump White House.

According to Amazon, FEAR comes in as the sixth best-selling book in 2018, so far. Michael Wolff's FIRE AND FURY, , released the first week of 2018 still holds on to #1 for the year, which has sold nearly 2 million copies. James Comey's "A Higher Loyalty" which sits in fifth place for the year.

Happy. I hate how the media is trying to discredit Woodward!!! Just ridiculous!! Anything to help that orange buffoon for money and ratings! Just messed up!

reply

The only media discrediting Woodward is the conservative media (FOX). No one else is doing so. And the public - with 1 million copies bought - is certainly not discrediting him.

reply

Woodward's book is going to surpass Wolff's in sales; I'd lay big money on it. But if there's a consolation for Wolff, it's that the criticism for which he was initially accused of being sensational and cavalier with jaw-dropping stories about the inner workings of Trump's White House now looks like it was thoroughly factual.

reply

I don't know about that, but it would be nice. Wolff's book sold 1.7M copies in less than three weeks (January 6 - January 24). And yes, everything Wolff was laughed at in January has been proven true with Comey's book, Omarosa's book (still at the top of the best-seller's list) and Woodward's.

Meanwhile, on the right....Sean Spicer wrote a book and sold a handful of copies, as did Jeanine "Loony" Pirro. They must be seething with envy over how well these other books are selling.

Well, that's because the reader pool for their fabricated B.S. is comprised of a bunch of dolts who are, at best, semi-literate.

reply

They write those books just to make money off stupid people.

reply

Political fantasy books are all the rage this year.

reply

That’s what Jeanine Pirro is hoping people believe so they will buy her book. But buyers don’t want her fantasy - they want truth from Omarosa, Wolff, Comey and now Woodward.

reply

every two bit writer is cashing in on this trainwreck presidency, at least it is good for the publishing industry

reply

I wouldn't call a respected journalist, the former head of the FBI, or his senior staffer '2 bit', but even so....it's good for the American readers as well. They need to know what's really going on in the White House, because Sara Hillbilly Colonel Sanders is not telling us. That's for certain.

reply

Colonel Sanders is the best do not disparage him.

reply

Randomly ran into an older woman reading it on her Kindle just yesterday.
