Does Trump not know..

That illegal immigration has been used as a tool by conservatives to pay people less or practically nothing. It is capitalist. So is mass immigration. He doesn't seem to get the ''secret scheme'' everyone already knew behind the scenes.

Not only that, whites in the U.S (largely who he appeals to) and other countries have been outbred to a certain point and his voting base will likely not be as strong as he and a few other out of touch people actually believe. He may never get that second term.

Hell, kc, 7 November 2016 Hillary was at a 98+% assurance to be elected the next day 8 November 2016.

Trump President.

Not Clinton.

reply

Culburn you can’t get over that Hillary lost, can you?

reply

Absolutely not. The old man block her from going back in that House.

Thank Christ.

reply

Yes, kelly, you're exactly right--when it comes right down to it, having illegal immigrants in the United States is a way to ensure that a low-paid, un-benefited workforce exists to toil at menial tasks that most U.S. citizens refuse to do (at least for an insulting minimum wage). The result is a form of de facto slavery.

If the people who claim to be against illegal immigration REALLY wanted to eliminate it, it could be done nearly overnight, but the two-faced Republicans who publicly rail against it yet in secret support it's existence will never implement the real solution to stop it, and that is instead of punishing the victims of the "crime", punish the dealers instead. Every time a raid is conducted at a business, levy substantial fines against the owners (both individual and corporate) and in the case of repeat violators, impose jail time for the most egregious offenders.

But no, fining businesses or prosecuting their owners is the last thing the GOP (Greed Only Party) would ever do, so they continue to give lip-service to going after the immigrants and throw some meager amounts of cash at Trumpie's ludicrous suggestion of building a 2,000 mile long wall (which is never going to happen).

Yet, the racist dolts and/or mentally-challenged subconscious fascists who make up Trumpie's base of loyal supporters evidently respond well to his talk of locking up and throwing out these "animals," so as long as this message plays to these peasants, he will continue to work it.

reply

Illegal immigration can be stopped overnight? How? 😂

reply

Really quite simple. You're still struggling with basic reading comprehension I see. Sandoz explicitly detailed how in his post. By placing penalties on the companies that hire illegals.

But Republicans would never do that since that would hurt them with their corporate base.

reply

I think I left Peppermint scratching his head because I threw in words like "egregious." Turned the poor boy's brain-cells inside out.

reply

HAHA! I'm absolutely sure you're right about that.

You nailed it.

reply

Lol! “ The Blaze” never uses big words like that.

reply

They can start with WalMart who outsource to smaller companies to hire illegals to clean their stores and stock shelves overnight. WalMart is always in a perpetual state of shock when called out on this every six months or so, feigning ignorance on who is outsourced. A few stiff penalties for every illegal they hire per location will knock them out of that state of shock.

I wonder if Melania was paid the same as American models when she worked here undocumented in the 90s? Probably not as most models are represented by their unions - and no way was Melania getting paid as much as them.

reply

Capitalism can not exist without some form of modern slavery. Americans born in the U.S are not going to ''put up'' with slave treatment so of course it makes since they'll (the government) will be looking for a vulnerable, undocumented and uneducated migrant worker to fill that slot. You can abuse them, pay them peanuts and provide them zero benefits in the way of health, dental or pension. If some were to speak out you'd just threaten deportation. Migrants are the ''perfect worker'' for those with a capitalist agenda. All the talk about deportation, wall building and ''those bad illegals'' is just a big joke.

reply

"Capitalism can not exist without some form of modern slavery."

That's a little extreme don't you think?

I'd point to the Scandinavian model of capitalism that is mixed with a strong social safety net and living wage and worker protection requirements that makes it the right hybrid where "modern slavery" needn't exist.

reply

I'm not from the U.S. I'm from Canada. Trust me, the social safety nets were NEVER in existence in Canada or in Scandinavia (well they've been eroded there) like one would believe. All (western ) countries are going through a massive population replacement by people from the third world to live and work at a low wage. They have eaten up our resources in terms of any minimal safety net and they're really not ''required'' to have one in the long run as they can be easily replaced. If one drops dead from lack of healthcare they'll just bring in more and more. Most governments are moving towards an Oligarchy. Wait and see.

reply

But you guys (Canadians, that is) don't really have illegal immigration in the same sense that we do in the states, do you? People sneaking in undocumented, right? Canada still has a "open door" policy towards allowing any and all applicants to settle there because your government wants to increase its population, correct? Forgive my ignorance if that's changed, but that was the most recent thing I had heard concerning your country. If so, that means there is some semblance at least of documentation and permission for people entering your borders.

reply

No we absolutely do. They come by boat and plane from all over the world but a significant portion from India. Then we have had a tremendous amount of people come into the country on bogus refugee claims for the last 20 years especially. They have filled our major cities to the brim. They are now the majority. It's what the government (as with so many other countries ''governments'') wanted. Again, ''Oligarchy''. Same thing is happening in Germany, France, Australia etc. and in the U.S. This is a concerted government effort. They all meet and discuss this ''plan'' at the G20 summit.

reply

Oh I don't disagree with the general premise that the natural evolution of unchecked capitalism will result in extreme inequality and oligarchy. Nor do I dispute that the US is on that path if we aren't there already.

To prevent this outcome, capitalism must be constrained by a true democratic system where the interests of the people are fairly represented. That's obviously not what we have in the US which I'd argue resembles a plutocracy if not yet an outright oligarchy. Once money is required to maintain power, like we have here, that opens the door for a democratic republic to transform into an oligarchic state.

I'm just pointing out that it doesn't necessarily have to be that way if you create a political class where money is not required to get elected and hold power. That can happen by publicly financing elections and term limits that prevent career politicians from corrupting the system to advance their personal financial interests. But I don't rule out the potential for course corrections to address the widening income inequality that ultimately leads to oligarchy. Although we're certainly on that precipice at the moment, the US has been here before. We very much resembled an oligarchy in the early 20th century when corporate barons and their private armies of pinkertons reigned supreme. That was before Teddy Roosevelt trust busted the monopolies and later FDR instituted the social safety net and labor protections that paved the way for the extended economic prosperity that followed the Great Depression. We're in desperate need of another course correction soon but it won't happen unless we have an economic calamity on the scale of the Great Depression or a civic uprising capable of demanding changes from the political class. But I concede a course correction is looking pretty bleak at the moment with entrenched special interests and propaganda having such a firm grip on the minds of significant demographics of our population.

reply

I couldn't have said it, or written it, better myself. And yes, it's precisely the special interests and propaganda (usually with the second bought by the first) that have taken us into the sinkhole of where we are today, politically, socially, and economically. Also to blame is the sorry state of education in this country, which seems to be sub-standard purposefully to insure that the our citizenry literally can't see the wool that is constantly pulled over our eyes (it's not for nothing that someone like Betsy DeVos is the Secretary of Education). Hell, just look at who's in the White House right now for proof of all of this. Desperation is a good word to describe where we are right now, both as a country and a society, and you may be right, it just might take some kind of calamity or era-changing event in order to snuff out this dire situation were currently in, kind of like how an explosive demolition puts out a massive fire.

reply

I don't think you're giving Trump enough credit if you think he's not aware of the "secret scheme".

His company, Trump org actively exploits cheap immigrant labor by granting H2-B temporary work visas for immigrant workers for menial jobs on his properties.

So yeah, all while preaching to companies to hire American workers he's not exactly someone who practices what he preaches. He's the consummate hypocrite.

He's a marketing savant who first and foremost knows his audience of easily manipulated suckers. So he's naturally attuned to how best to pander to his xenophobic base.

Whether it might hurt his chances for a 2nd term remains to be seen. But it's the message that got him elected last time, and he's sticking to it.
