So the best way to silence a bunch of republicans...

Is to let one run away at the mouth...interesting.

Most republicans didn't want trump to win the primaries and were very vocal about it. And we only put up with him during the presdential election was because of hillary and to be fair most americans stayed home during the election. America hit a 20 year low for voter turn out. Democrat or republican neither candidate was what you wanted.

reply

Let's be honest...most Americans always stay home during elections as a majority of Americans are not registered. Also...turnout was minutely smaller in 2012 and significantly lower in 2000...have to go back to 1996 to find lower and that puts us outside the 20year basis.

reply

No one voted cause last years election sucked. And 2016 was listed as americas 20 year low in the media.

Can't disagree with that!

Well I can't address that as I always fact check what I hear in the media (especially if it is on you know where...rhymes with box booze...) but numerous sites have estimated 2016s turnout as %55.5...2012 %54.9...2008 %58.2...2004 %55.7...2000 %50.3...1996 %49.0
Liars may figure...but figures never lie.

Well this was my source. So what ever.

Take into consideration that the article you provided was published in November of 2016...more than two weeks prior to the December 19th certification of election results...that can leave a broad margin in and of itself. But more to the issue,I believe this article sheds some light on how CNN got the wrong info to begin with...

As it was an interview with CNNs Jake Tapper where the claim was made...figures CNN
Would run it...thought after their Boston bombing debacle they would improve their fact checking, but you know...

Don't forget that there were thousands of voters who were purposely removed from the voters' registration list and some voters needed to stand in line for hours. An active attempt is made to prevent people from voting by politicians each election.

If they wanted people to vote, then everyone would be automatically registered on their 18th birthday.

It also doesn't help that the election system is stupid. Personally, it doesn't matter if I vote in a presidential election because I don't live in a swing state. Most people don't live in a swing state so their vote is as irrelevant as mine. If they create a popular vote, then everyone's vote would count.

I agree swing states are the ones that only count enough for the candidates to actually compaign in.
