I can see Gina as a strong, intelligent teacher or principal at Jack and Diane's school. When Dre and Bow have a conflict that prohibits them from attending the school's open house, Pops takes the kids. He falls in lust with the teacher, but she takes him to task for his outdated views on gender and race.

I can see Laurence as a client of the firm facing criminal charges for illegal business activities. Jessica tries to steer clear of him because they have a romantic past, but circumstances throw them together and she struggles with her feelings for him and her disdain for his flawed character.
