No. She is of mixed race parentage. Due to the nature of the society we live in if there is a mixed person they are automatically the darker ethnicity. We are so brainwashed that even the person themselves sometimes say this (hi Halle Berry). This is very predominate in the U.S.A. I question the logic of this everytime it comes up and nobody ever says why the person isn't white rather than black, without ending up in questionable science. Yes, I am of mixed race, and yes it has been bugging/amusing me my entire almost four decade life.

"Caucasian", "Negroid", "Mongoloid" are based off of how many marbles you could fit in a skull and not the least bit scientific.

The guy was right; race is social construction. He is also correct that most black americans, or more specifically, blacks in the Americas are "mixed." This is, of course, due to slavery (involuntary i.e. rape) and inter-marriage/mating (voluntary). Problem is society instills self-hatred many of these people are incredibly weak-minded; they try to run from their ethnicity & heritage in order to gain social status.

"White" people have historically purported that white is somehow pure, and that any mix (that is known of) is not white. "Black" people (in America) accept the truth -- none of us are "pure black" (whatever the hell that would mean). We band together under "black" (and we were also pushed together) -- we are comprised of a wide spectrum of colors with many similar traits.

Say two parents, one "white" and one of a darker skin color (black, filipino, etc) have a child -- yes, each parent contributes 23 chromosomes but the white parent tends to carry more recessive genes, and the genes from the darker parent tend to dominate.

I find it kind of funny whenever you hear someone trying to jump and claim a person of mixed heritage, most specifically white+whatever, as "white". Funny because 10-times-out-of-10, the mixed person in question is some hot chick, LOL.
