Is it me or does his voice sound different? I've been watching The Leftovers and he sounds like a completely different person compared to him on Mulholland Drive which I loved. "This is the girl".

It does seem a bit raspier. However, that is probably due to just natural aging and life.

I was re watching Mulholland Drive and his pitch was way different. Maybe doing it on purpose to sound like a Hollywood director.

The father of the down syndrome boy in Leftovers looks like Alan Alda. Coincidence. I think so!

His character in Mulholland Drive is based on David Lynch, so I think he was speaking with a similar tone. His voice has also gradually changed over time, naturally.
