You should watch some of the others things he has been in. His role in Doctor Who is fantastic! He was also in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

I second the Broadchurch recommendation. Hulu also has him in Blackpool and I quite liked him in Recovery (YouTube) and The Escape Artist too (Amazon Prime).

And in a precursor to Kilgrave, see "Secret Smile" in which he played an obsessed/stalking exboyfriend.

Yes! Watching him as Killgrave was like eating a perfectly baked cake. I couldn't get enough. Bravo Mr Tennant!

I completely agree. He's probably the only actor on the show that actually grew on me and convinced me, other than that the show was pretty bad compared to Daredevil and even in its own right. David was definitely the highlight of the show.

So it leads to the question of how they're going to keep the fan base for a second series. They've written out the actor they'd specifically chased for this show and who is garnering the most rave reviews.
