First mention of Against All Enemies and Cannes

Just read an article at Deadline regarding 28 movies being released in 2019 and their possibilities of being shown at various film festivals. It was no surprise to me that Against All Enemies and the Cannes Film Festival were mentioned together.

From Scorsese's 'The Irishman' To Kristen Stewart As Jean Seberg: 28 Movies That Could Light Up Film Festivals In 2019

Against All Enemies

Benedict Andrews' ('Blackbird') anticipated drama-thriller screams Cannes. Kristen Stewart, Zazie Beetz, Jack O'Connell, Anthony Mackie and Vince Vaughn star in the story of an ambitious young FBI agent assigned to investigate iconic actress Jean Seberg (Stewart) when she becomes embroiled in the tumultuous civil rights movement in late 1960's Los Angeles.

As I have previously stated, out of all of Kristen's films that are slated for release in 2019 ('Underwater,' 'Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy,' 'Against All Enemies,' 'Charlie's Angels' and possibly 'Happiest Season'), it is 'Against All Enemies' that I am looking forward to the most.

My thinking is that this is another in depth, strong role of the kinds that Kristen likes taking on and does well with. Given that it's coupled with a story about a hugely impactful issue, that of Civil Rights, gives the role and movie all the more significance.

I'm also really looking forward to 'Underwater', 'Charlie's Angels' and 'Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy'. So I guess I'm looking forward to all her latest roles/movies as they all seem to have something about them that's a good draw. I just saw 'Lizzie' and while a smaller movie, not getting a large theater showing, it was a really done well story and movie.

Just the fact that Kristen is mentioned in the same sentence--or even article title for that matter--as Scorsese's The Irishman speaks volumes as to how highly regarded she is to Andreas Wiseman who will be a fixture at the international film festivals for Deadline in 2019. So hopefully he gives Kristen some major props if she nails the role of Jean Seberg.

Good point, thanks for mentioning that. Kristen has taken on good character roles and been highly praised for them in the past as well.

Yes Ron, it's high praise considering the sheer amount of actors who will be starring in one of those films mentioned in the article reads like a who's who list of Hollywood's top active A-listers and Oscar winners/nominees which include Gary Oldman, Meryl Streep, Frances McDormand, Leonardo DeCaprio, Lupita Nyong'o, Matt Damon, Matthew McConaughey, Cate Blanchett, Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Anne Hathaway, Joel Edgerton and Brad Pitt, just to name a few. I guess because Kristen is a critic's darling and indie queen, according to some, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise, especially for us fans.
