And Bosley #3 is ...

none other than Djimon Hounsou!

So we're now up to three Bosleys. I wonder whether there will be any more.
Plus, it's nice to see that filming has finally begun. After all, the film is scheduled to open one year from now.

Hey LL, did you ever get to see Lizzie?
Sadly, I did not.

Interesting, another Bosley character. Now it's not likely just speculation on antagonist/protagonist Bosley characters, but seems more likely to be different ones for different parts of the world or for specific jobs as the Agency has gone international.

I'm guessing that while most of the multiple Bosley characters will probably be good guys, Ron, I still speculate that one of them will turn out to be an antagonist. Djimon Hounsou excels in bad guy roles--so he could very likely be one of the antagonists in the CA reboot.

agreed, and I think also that Patrick Stewart makes a great antagonist.

Very welcome news indeed, Carved, as Djimon Hounsou will bring an added dimension to this reboot as he has done consistently well as a staple in several mid to big budget actioners such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Gladiator, Furious 7, The Legend of Tarzan, Blood Diamond, Laura Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, The Island, Eragon, Push, Constantine, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and The Four Feathers.

I most certainly did see it on opening day here on Oahu. Without going into specifics, in order not to spoil it for those who have yet to watch it, I'll describe it in generalizations. For example, while the overall film wasn't on par with some of the greatest psychological thrillers of all time such as Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho", Rob Reiner's "Misery", Jonathan Demme's "The Silence of the Lambs", Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island", or David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive", pretty exclusive company in this subgenre, it did boast comparable acting performances and have a similar atmospheric feel as the aforementioned films and was nearly as good as Brad Anderson's "Stonehearst Asylum", Rod Lurie's "Straw Dogs", M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village", Michael Apted's "Blink", Bill Paxton's "Frailty", Atom Egoyan's "Felicia's Journey", Bryan DePalma's "Body Double", or Phillip Kaufman's "Twisted". And relatively speaking, this was a much better film than her psychological thriller "Cold Creek Manor".

And I would definitely agree with the critics consensus that the acting by the leads, Chloe Sevigny and Kristen, was the forte of this film. So to make another generalization, this time regarding the leads, Chloe churns out the commanding performance in the first act and midway through the second act, most notably her steely determination and unflappable resolve to not give in to her father's wishes, while Kristen is predominantly one-note and monotone, similar to how she acted in "Certain Women".

But from the midpoint of the second act, all the way through most of the third act, Kristen steals the show right from under Chloe--almost as if Chloe passed the baton to Kristen. This reversal took place at the exact point when Kristen's character Bridget
receives word that her mother had just passed away.
Here, Kristen acts in a similar manner as she did in "Anesthesia"--just in a more fervid, passionate and eventually, lustful manner. The emotional impact her acting had on me during the latter half of the film had a profound impact on me as evidenced by how I became teary eyed in reaction to how distraught and tormented she felt because of the suffocating constraints she was forced to deal with and how she had to risk everything in order to break free. Like the words of a critic we discussed earlier on another thread, the tension was so thick one could cut it with a knife, or should I say, axe, as the chemistry between Kristen and Chloe was undeniable. Kristen was like the proverbial glue that not only held their onscreen friendship together, but also the relationships Bridget had with Andrew, Abby and Emma Borden.

And lastly, what made this a better than average, run of the mill, psychological thriller was that it confronts the viewer with the dilemma the main characters are faced with and the choices they make under mounting pressure, which reveals true character. As they say, there are two sides to every story and this particular story, the way it was told, made me torn in the sense that I could empathize with both the protagonist and the antagonist, as while it did not justify the heinous acts committed by both sides, it showed us the reasons and rationale behind why the main characters in this story did what they ended up doing. As evil as some of the acts committed were, the ones who did these acts did have a good side, as is true with virtually all humans on the face of the Earth. Thus the storyline and plot was inherently more believable and the characters readily identifiable, than say if the characters were polar opposites--some being pure evil while others, perfect saints.

The Hollywood Reporter mentions how another actor, Gerardo Mendez was cast to play a key role in the reboot:

At first glance, I initially thought he could be yet another Bosley. However, reading further, this article mentions that although the details regarding his character are still shrouded in mystery, he will play a key character called "The Saint."

Hmm... I wonder if his character will be similar to that of Val Kilmer's titular character in The Saint:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDYx2BOuAGo If so I would be thrilled as this film is one of the most underrated action thrillers in the history of cinema IMO. I must have watched this gem at least 20 times and never tire of seeing it again and again and again.
