*Film Twitter favourites Kristen Stewart and Laura Dern both star in the Closing Night Film Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy*

I can't wait

reply

It's really nice to see her doing work that brings her movies to festivals so often. :)

reply

I'm glad that Kristen takes pride in her work by attending these film festivals, Ron. Here's just another example which supports my previous statement of where does she find the time to do all of this.

Had she also said she would be in attendance at the Venice International Film Festival, I would swear she has a body-double or has superhero powers of some sort in order to attend VIFF as she is supposedly doing some pre-production work in Berlin for Charlie's Angels--for I don't know of anyone who can be at two places at one time no matter how busy they are.

reply

I agree i love how she admire her work and would be the first one to support her work.

reply

Especially love how she is so passionate about her films when being interviewed.

reply

I agree LL, i love when she talk passionately about her movies and how she could do that for hours.

reply

I'm guessing she'll be there on September 16 as this is the last day of TIFF. To be certain, I'm waiting for Carved to tell us exactly when Kristen will be there, to the nanosecond. Anyhow, great news and thanks for posting Mody.

reply

LL, I had previously posted on my Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy thread that the Press & Industry screening for the film is scheduled for Monday, September 10th, and that the public screenings are scheduled for Friday, Saturday & Sunday, September 14, 15 & 16.

I believe that Kristen, Laura and director Justin Kelly will be at TIFF for the Press & Industry screening on September 10th.

Meanwhile, I looked at the complete list of attendees for TIFF on Mody's link.
From that list, the following had previously worked with Kristen ...

Olivier Assayas - director of Clouds of Sils Maria & Personal Shopper
Alec Baldwin - Still Alice
Jamie Bell - Undertow ("Can I carve my name in your face?") & Jumper
Steve Carell - Cafe Society
Patricia Clarkson - The Safety of Objects
Laura Dern - Certain Women & of course, Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy
Jesse Eisenberg - Adventureland, American Ultra & Cafe Society
David Gordon Green - director of Undertow
Justin Kelly - director of Jeremiah Terminator LeRoy
Riley Keough - The Runaways
Jena Malone - Into the Wild
Julianne Moore - Still Alice ("And the Oscar for Performance by an Actress goes to ...")
Chloe Grace Moretz - Clouds of Sils Maria
Viggo Mortensen - On the Road
Elisabeth Moss - On the Road
Lee Pace - Breaking Dawn 2
Robert Pattinson - The Twilight Saga (it's easier to type that than the names of all five films)
Jake Scott - director of Welcome to the Rileys
John Turturro - What Just Happened
Wash Westmoreland -- co-director of Still Alice

Oh yeah, since Julianne Moore will be there, it wouldn't surprise me if her husband, Bart Freundlich, was there as well.
Bart directed Kristen in Catch that Kid.

Let's have a reunion!

Good list Carved. Kristen has so many films and has worked with so many actors, many of them big names.

In addition to the ones you mentioned Carved, I should add the following actors to Kristen's 2018 TIFF six degrees of separation list:

Michael Shannon - The Runaways
Dermot Mulroney - Undertow, The Safety of Objects
Connie Britton - American Ultra
Brady Corbet - Clouds of Sils Maria
Sam Levinson - What Just Happened
Lucas Hedges - Anesthesia
Anthony Mackie - Against All Enemies

I wouldn't be surprised if we missed some because of the fact that Kristen starred in so many feature films as Ron mentioned previously.

reply

Ugh, I can't believe I missed Michael Shannon who had such a pivotal role in The Runaways and Dermot Mulroney, who was in two films.
On the other hand, I'm not surprised that I missed Anthony Mackie. Against All Enemies has not yet been released, thus I have not seen him with Kristen.

And yes, we did miss at least one more. This time it's another actor who appeared in two films ...
Corey Stoll - Anesthesia & Cafe Society

The characters portrayed by Corey Stoll in Anesthesia and Cafe Society didn't directly interact with Kristen's characters so perhaps this is why we both forgot they were in the same movie. Same with the characters portrayed by Dermot Mulroney, Connie Britton, Brady Corbet, Sam Levinson, and Lucas Hedges who didn't interact with Kristen's characters in their respective films either.

But Michael Shannon who costarred with Kristen in The Runaways shared several memorable scenes together--how could this have slipped your mind Carved? At least when I'm unable to recall things I can blame it on my self-prognosis of experiencing early stages of Alzheimer's as I learned about in Still Alice--although I have not received an official confirmation of my self-diagnosis from a doctors' neuropsychological testing as I rarely go to doctors, least to say a neurologist who specializes in this field.

reply

You are very welcome!! Can't wait to see the interviews

reply

What are you, her agent or promoter or something?

reply

Umm no i am a fan who post news to share it with other fans.

reply

Probably?

Anytime Kristen isn't on the front page, Mody posts something, anything to bump her to the front page.

reply

💀💀💀 It's like i make things up lmao, when there is news about her movies or new projects i post about it like every fan does.

reply

"Umm no i am a fan who post news to share it with other fans. "

Yep, same as others of us do who are fans here. :)

reply

Yes it's what fans do :)

reply

Her naysayers appear to be hypocritical in the sense that they themselves bump Kristen's page--and I'm guessing, peruse this page nearly as much as her fans do. I guess in the minds of some, it's okay to bash and speak disparagingly of someone as much as you like. But praising someone's accomplishments? "Only a paid shill would do something like that"--or at least that's what they tell us. Of course in real life, if trolls behaved the way they did on internet forums and chatrooms IRL, they would probably get stern looks or a punch in the face. Conversely, IRL, I've never ever heard of a single case where someone was denigrated for speaking highly of others just as long as it isn't false flattery laced with sarcasm.

Not sure if you were one of Kristen's fans such as Ron, Carved and myself who used to post comments on her former IMDb page, but if you did, you were probably familiar with the fact that the trolls would often overtake, or should I say, hijack the threads, and especially so on all the Twilight boards. And they weren't merely posting lots of brief vitriolic spam and Parthian shots, but lengthy comments which would sometimes span a page or more. And if you dare challenge them they would even stalk you and follow you wherever you posted comments on IMDb and offer their comments which were always contrarian to yours. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black--the primary difference being they love to hate on her instead of merely finding joy in discussing her movie career and goings-on as we do.

reply

Yes, Mody was a fan on Kristen's IMDB page, I think towards the end of IMDB's forums.

Speaking of Michael Shannon above, I didn't know much of him until The Runaways. After also seeing him in several other films/roles I really like him as an actor. He's had some roles that I really liked, Take Shelter, Midnight Express, 12 Strong among them. He has a lot of work done in films and seems to do a great job at a wide range of role types.

Similar from my POV, as although I watched several of the films he had supporting roles in such as Groundhog Day, Pearl Harbor, Vanilla Sky, High Crimes, 8 Mile, Bad Boys II, Criminal, World Trade Center, The Woodsman, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, and Revolutionary Road, I did not really take notice of him as a bonafide actor until I saw him in Bug.

And while he especially excelled in Nocturnal Animals and Revolutionary Road, roles which garnered him critical acclaim and a pair of Oscar nominations, as well as also churning out stellar performances in 99 Homes and The Shape of Water, his most underrated roles to date were in Bug and The Iceman, IMO.
