Finally, some news on Charlie's Angels!!!

From: http://www.thathashtagshow.com/2018/06/exclusive-power-rangers-star-naomi-scott-set-to-join-charlies-angels-reboot/

We have learned that Naomi Scott is set to join the cast of Sony Pictures Charlie's Angels reboot alongside Kristen Stewart and Lupito Nyong'o (who is still in talks). Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 3) is set to direct as well as take on the role of Bos. Production will take place in Berlin and will begin shooting in September and is expected to wrap sometime in January 2019.

Charlie's Angels will hit theaters on June 7, 2019.

So, we have another angel, and we now know when and where filming will start. I find it interesting that Elizabeth Banks will be playing Bos in addition to her chores as director.

One thing that surprised me was the news that the film won't wrap until January.
With a release date of June 7th, that sure seems like an awfully short time for post-production.

Anyway, this is welcome news indeed. I do wonder however what the plans will be for Kristen's 'The Chronology of Water'. Will she attempt to shoot it between the end of Against All Enemies and the start of Charlie's Angels, or will she wait until C.A. has wrapped?
I'm guessing that she'll have to wait until C.A. is completed.

"Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 3) is set to direct as well as take on the role of Bos."

I like Elizabeth in this role, she's played some fun and interesting characters. This won't be a comedic role but she would likely add some comedy relief to her bos role, perhaps like she did in Pitch Perfect movies.

Carved, I also agree with you that this is a longer film shoot and wrapping in January and released in June is ambitious. I bet release gets pushed out a bit later.

It'll be interesting to see how/where she fits in her film 'The Chronology of Water' as it seems she has pretty aggressive and busy schedule through the end of the year. Glad to see more activity coming to fruition on her part though. Even though there isn't always lots of news, she's still very busy in her work while taking on new things like directing.

Here's another article, one that asks a ridiculous question in my opinion.

Will she or won't she?
To quote Rhett Butler, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

Agreed, a ridiculous question. Actors can play all sorts of roles - cops, soldiers, doctors so no big deal what sexual preference someone plays whether or not they're that pref in real life. It's just another role like all the others.

I like Kristen's comments on playing an action role. That would be another genre that she could take on if it fits with what she wants to do. Not everyone can play an action role, but we do see many actors doing it who hadn't previously done such roles.

In Kristen's five biggest budget films which she starred in, Snow White and the Huntsman, Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Breaking Dawn - Part 1, Eclipse and New Moon, she played heterosexual roles, the first two of which involved extensive action sequences on her part and she excelled at it. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if she does the same in Charlie's Angels.

I don't ever recall Drew Barrymore who played an angel in the first two Charlie's Angels films ever being asked this question despite the fact that she always considered herself to be bisexual and claims to have "bedded lots of women" before and after her stint with this film franchise.

Thing is that there is an obsession with sexuality and pushing ideology these days in the name of “representation”.
